^^^We have fucking ages to build that match up though, Cena isn't even back in the ring yet!? They could've always kept the title on Batista, let him chase it for a little longer; keep the fans of Tista watching him chase down the title. One or two clean/dirty wins over him would've drawn more heat onto Y2J, and when Cena returned, he could've won the belt then.

Even better, Cena could've won the title, bragged about being able to beat JEricho (which is what Batista couldn't do) and go into Mania the defending champ - remember Tista beat Cena last time they met, making the stakes a little more interesting.

There wasn't really any reason to give Batista the title at CS, imo...

^ Indeed. I know this topic died a few days ago, however, I'd like to add a few more points. Not to mention, someone basically, word for word, copied BKB's topic and posted it elsewhere, and there was a huge 16 page debacle on this, and there were some good points made that I'm going to address here.

~ For one, even if Tista is on roids, what difference does it make? Who cares? It's irrelevant to the issue and there's no concrete evidence he even takes 'em, save for his body, in which it's still rather vague and shady, as many men can get that big without the aid of steroids.

~ Another thing, limited movesets do not make a bad wrestler. Not knowing HOW to utilize your knowledge of manuevers, however, does. Seriously, and? You have spot monkeys you praise for flipping around in the ring, are they really wrestling? Nope, and even I can say that with my fondness for luchas.

~ To C4, how is he injury prone? His last injury was two years ago, TWO years ago, whereas you look at guys like Kennedy, Trips, hell, even John Cena, and they've been having injuries left and right for a few years. Give me a break. The guy has been healthy for two years and is still going strong.

~ Undeserving? You can say that, but then you'd be nothing but a hypocrite if you're fans of guys like Randy Orton, Kennedy, or MVP (OMGZ, he's jobbing) and think they deserve any better. WTF have Kennedy or MVP done to deserve pushes into the ME? Nothing. Kennedy had himself suspended last year in the midst of a grand storyline, and he fucked it up for himself. And MVP, just what do people see in this guy? His charisma? I don't see any. He's also slow and kinda lazy in the ring, from what I see. His reign has US Champion was dull and uninspired, just like how people portray Tista's World reigns. Not to mention, IF the net reports are right, he had no place saying something like that to a professional, regardless of what they're doing. And Orton, with all the crap he's done, suspensions and such, I'm surprised.

~ Boring? Right, and Orton's the definition of charisma. Speaking of entertaining, being entertaining is in the eye of the beholder. I consider a calm, and cool personality like Big Dave entertaining; others prefer cowardly heels, and etc. Whatever floats your boat.

It WAS entertaining, after 3 almost 4 years, don't you think the exact same bullshit character gets a little stale once in awhile? Orton at least changed his character for a little, Batista is still the same, which is boring... A heel turn could change this, but the WWE are tools.

I would like Big Dave as a Heel, I agree with you there. He seems more natural as a Heel, or as someone who just kicks ass and enjoys doing so. Him as a Monster Heel would be really awesome, and a nice change of pace for his character.

I haven't been following the conversation......but it seems that, if WWE HADN'T put the belt on Dave, he would've walked.....which means that TNA would've gotten another HUGE star.

Same goes with Carlito. How many times have we heard that he was bitching about not liking his place in WWE? And now he's a tag champ. Sure, it's not as impressive as World champ......but it's just Vince's way of insuring that no more of his talent migrate to TNA.

I hate Batista more for the way he was booked on Smackdown in 06-07 then anything. It went in circles:

Batista loses by DQ. Batista says 'I want a re-match I'm the animal GRAWWR' until he won the title.

Not to mention he got abouot 12 re-matches when Booker T got none.
