I remember in 1997, when Stone Cold broke his neck, it was considered devastating to the push ghe was recieving. But even though he had a broken neck, alot of times, infact, MOST of the time, he would still be on Raw anyways. No, he didn't wrestle, but he was involved in promo's every week, still able to advance his feud with Vince, and in the process get extremely over...
Fast forward to 2008. Randy orton is out with a broke collarbone. This is a very painful injury, I'm sure, but at the same time, I see an oppurtunity for him to do something, similar to what Austin did, and raise his stock hugely at the same time.
Obviously, it wouldn't be as a face, but afetr last week's Raw, I got to thinking, why cant he just show up on Raw every week, even if he's injured? Raw really needs him to be there, to add another heel to the mix, and piss everyone off. He could really excel iin the role of teasing a feud with Punk, tease a formation of a new evolution, etc, without ever getting in the ring...

The only downside is, that even when he's not wrestling, buy shwoing up in the show, it will take away airtime from sme of the other guys who aren't injured...

Anyways, what do you think, do you think it would be a good idea if Orton continued to show up on Raw, similar to how he did last week...

Nice idea Mike. I like it. It could get him a lot of heat as he is a Super Heel and the fans will always have some one other than JBL to go, you bastard.

I believe it would be a good idea to have Orton show up on Raw like he did this past week. As you said, he can tease a new stable, a Punk feud, etc. I think they should have him on Raw like they did this past week because it does help the show. I was surprised to see him show up and his promo had me hooked from the beginning so I think having him appear on Raw weekly in backstage segments and such is a great idea.

I like it,like you said he doesnt have to wrestle buth e can be in promos and stuff. He can probobly form the stable with ted and cody and be like their manager while hes still injured or something.Breaking up pins or just get involved in the match helping them win wouldnt be a bad idea.Or just go ahead and keep teasing the fued abit more, but yea it would be nice to see him on raw

no. The only reason he showed up on RAW was because it was in hometown. He doesn't need to show up every week, he should just wait until he is medically cleared. An appearance every now and then doesn't hurt though.

On a side note, I just want to say I am pumped up for the Evolution V2 angle that they have been teasing lately. Hopefully Batista turns heel to join forces with Orton and the rest of the new stable

I would definitely agree if Orton was going to be out longer but he won't be gone for long. It wouldn't be a bad idea though if he came back a few weeks before he is cleared to compete. But either way it doesn't really matter he will be back soon.

ya he could start a nice stable that way and manage people like team priceless, beth ect... i think he should manage some uppermid card/main eventer and screw punk over for the title and then when orton can finally wrestle again he screws over the new champ and takes the championship from them. kinda like what happened with him and evolution... it could seriously help push someone new like burchill (not yet) or even batista cause i cant think of anyone else lol...

I think the only reason Orton showed up was becuase they were in St. Louis for Raw...I'm pretty sure this was a one time thing and he'll stay home w/ his wife and daughter until he's able to wrestle again (Survivor Series)

Well you have to remember a few things about this and Austin when he was injured (he actually did it twice, later in 2001 with Angle)

1. No one was as over as Austin. He WAS in the midcard in 97, but there was no one as over as he was. He needed to be there to keep his star rising.

and

2. Its not the same time period. The weakest part of the who era was the undercard. They had no undercard, no supporting cast of characters. Now you have a LOT MORE people who can share the load.

I have a feeling he will be showing up on quite a few RAWs. From the looks of it I am thinking he will begin to manage Rhodes and DiBiase as well as feud with Punk for the WHC, if he retains. After this weeks RAW, they way they are going with him gives him a potential for many storylines in the future.
