Punk has nothing to do with it, stop
The show is already sold out and ppv buys aren't a thing. Punk being hurt has 0 baring on the Roman booking or story
I think it's clearly an attempt to change the public narrative away from the Vince news more than anything but all of those lumped together resulting in it makes sense to me too. The funny thing is Cody's story was actually the best way to generate that positive momentum they want 
I think Punk being hurt changed the winner of the Rumble but not so sure it’s changed this Rock v Roman happening
…..The only way they can salvage this is if they do Cody vs Roman at Chamber but then the Americans aren’t gonna watch because it’s too early in the morning and also then who the fuck do they have Cody face at Mania? Randy, I guess? That doesn’t seem right. XD
Also tell me when was Codys story supposed to be about taking everything from Roman? That’s not the story, this feud has never been that personal, Cody has always been about winning the championship FOR HIS family, nothing about the Bloodline, hell SAMI WAS DOING THE BLOODLINE STUFF originally, Cody was just there for the championship. Like in retrospect this just makes Cody bringing Jey over to Raw look bad because if I was Jey right now I would be “oh so that was just a play to get me permanently away from Roman, that wasn’t him just reaching out.” but also is this Cody just going “Fuck my family, I just wanna take everything away from you.”? I don’t remember a main event character getting this assassinated before. And they completely shit on Rollins’ title reign as they did it, insane.
All because Rocks recent movies have failed so he has to go back to what made him popular in the first place: F&F, Moana and now WWE. Actually I now want Priest to pull heist of the century 2 because fuck it why not at this point?
