I quite like face v face, heel v heel will never work but face v face works alright

Of course its always better to have a good guy and a bad guy but both these guys are top faces in the company and well over with the crowd, I expect a hot crowd for there match

I would hope for some kind of interference from Kane and set up a couple of feuds, the main one with Batista and a side one on RAW with CM Punk and it would allow the WHC title being defended on RAW against Kane which would add plenty to the show, I don't think many people would buy a PPV with Kane in the main event but a main event on RAW would work very well

I don't know man there are a ton of Kane fans out there. Specially when he is on the war path like he is now. I think a title change in Kane favor on Raw would be kind of a shock. Not a long title reign just until you get Taker to Raw then have a casket match but one taker actually wins.

Batista really was the best option. As soon as Punker goes over him, he'll be one step closer to being solidified as a main eventer. I don't think JBL would have had as much an impact, and I think it was too soon for Cena. I guess is that Kane is next, but it's really up in the air. Either way, I think the main goal of Punk's title reign should be to make him a top tier guy. Once that is done, he can drop the strap.

Should I tear my eyes out now?

My moneys on Batista winning by DQ through interference.

And I agree wtih chess, I'm sick of babyface v babyface, it's boring, double boring since it's Batista and Punk

Actually, Kane VS Punk would've been good, especially if Kane is a psycho heel again. Kane would put Punk over and Punk beating a monster like Kane would defintiely gve him credibility

But I guess a DQ victory of Big Dave will have to do

No.

Anyway... I get the whole Face vs Face = Not as good... But JBL's a waste in the ring now... I like him pissed off and giving crazy ass clotheslines not the oh lets jog slightly and throw my arm like it's a hug clotheslines he does now.

Everyone is wondering how they're going to put Punk over Batista...
Anyone ever thing Orton might be making his return?
From what I've heard the injury was nowhere near as serious as originally thought and from what I last heard he was only about a month from returning. He might be well enough to make a run in spot at GAB.

only way i could see punk retain is if he pulled the anaconda vice out of nowhere then goes back to using that as a finisher as well but that isn't going to happen

I don't think Orton's gonna return this early because he's going to be spending time at home with his daughter. He'll probably return in about a month or so. I wish he'd go to the PPV but I doubt he'll even be backstage

i would like to see all the following feuds.
Cm Punk vs chris jericho
cM punk vs batista
cm punk vs john cena
cm punk vs shawn michaels.
the shawn michaels feud could be a feud where shawn is trying to beat some respect into CM Punk.

Its a pretty good choice for a PPV-World Title main event...

I mean...

from the looks of it...its a pretty fresh match-up

yet-at the same time...it isn't an "EPIC" main event match...
but its still a fresh-solid-draw of a match...

Batista's name is basically sticked as a main eventer, and cm punk is still new to most fans that don't usually watch ECW...

I mean....if they had went with JOHN CENA VS CM PUNK!!!!

then it would've felt like they wasted a good summerslam/wrestlemania match-up on a regular pay-per-view such as the Great American Bash...

but Batista vs CM Punk is a pretty good choice...

especially considering that WWE having been treating their pay-per-views with some respect this year(exceptions include judgement day & nightofchampions)

but at the same time, we've got people saying "Ohhh!No!..Thats BullShit!!..Batista is old as mainevent, it should be JERICHO!!..OMG!!..he better'er then Bautsita!...Ka-durrh!?!"

I mean...sure
For one, Jericho is probably a better in-ring technician and all...
and a good heel, but he's got this weird "midcard4life" enigma to him...
like a monkey on his back...that he just can't shake...
but Batista on the other hand is more then capable in the ring, noone gives him credit...and he's a much bigger draw and household name for most average fans...(not saying average fans have poor-taste, just that they like their big-time players more then their midcard toilers)...

so considering that if Cm Punk Wins "cleanly" over Batista then that'll put him over as a legit champion in most fan's eyes...

but if Cm Punk were to go over someone like ...
lets say JBL or Jericho, then it'd be more like....
kind've like when Cena was champion and retained againest either edge or umaga...ya-know...that cheesey
"OMG!He beat a midcarder, even thou he was againest all the odds in the world!!!...he a good champion now!!!...." syndrome...

so like...yea...totally think that the batista/cm punk should be good...

wouldn't mind seeing punk retain somehow and batista getting pissed 'bout it and orton returning and have orton take on punk for the belt, and win it with 'tista's help...
then that could turn Batista heel, make orton champion, and we can have a orton-cmpunk feud for until the fall-october'ish season and such...
