Notes from the Booker

Thank you.

Backstory

---------------------------------------

For a long time now low ratings and low PPV sell outs have affected Vince McMahon’s long time business project, World Wrestling Entertainment which sprung out some sad and surprising news when the WWE Armageddon PPV came to a close. Chairman Vince McMahon alongside Linda, Stephanie and Shane stepped into the ring. He announced that after his recent heart attack and WWE heading downhill he sadly has to call it the end of the road for himself, as he passes WWE over to his son Shane and daughter Stephanie.

Stephanie and Shane McMahon’s first decision was to put WWE on a 15 day hold to jumpstart WWE as they plan things out for the future. 3days into the hold Shane McMahon appeared on WWE.com stating that Tuesday Night ECW has been folded and superstars will be drafter around.

4days later, this time Stephanie McMahon appeared on WWE.com to determine the future of some superstars. She stated that from ECW, CM Punk, Elijah Burke, Shelton Benjamin, Kane and Layla have officially been drafted to the Raw brand. Then she moved onto the Smackdown draftees stating that Chavo Guerrero, Tommy Dreamer, Steven Richards and Kelly Kelly will now be featured on Smackdown.

The following day Shane McMahon once again appeared on WWE.com to confirm about the unconfirmed superstars future. Stating to fans that, Matt Striker, Mike Adamle, Tony Chimel, The Boogeyman, Nunzio, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Super Crazy and Lena Yada have all been released of their WWE contract. He then stated that Mike Knox and Cherry have been sent down to WWE's developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling for further training.

5days later it was confirmed that Shane McMahon would take control of Raw and Stephanie McMahon would gain control of the Smackdown brand.

Due to Triple H’s victory over the ‘rainbow haired warrior’, Jeff Hardy at Armageddon, Triple H was granted a shot at Randy Orton’s WWE championship at the Royal Rumble. So to kick off tonight’s show the music of Triple H hits. The crowd here tonight from Greenwich, Connecticut go wild for their hometown hero Triple H, as he casually makes his way to the ring. Once handed the microphone Triple H makes it clear that he is coming for Orton’s title. Orton comes out to stop HHH from ranting on about him and states to HHH that a new era is beginning and he won’t be alone going into it. HHH laughs alongside the hyped up crowd, but Orton gets the last laugh as Carlito, climbs over the barrier and attacks HHH from behind. Orton and his new partner Carlito kick into HHH as we cut off into a commercial break.

We hit ringside when we come back from the break to hear JR and King talking about how already after 15 days without wrestling things are heating up. Once finished talking about Orton’s attack they move on to the first piece of action stating that a tag team that has been rising through the ranks over on ECW/Smackdown ‘The Golden Express’ Shelton Benjamin and Elijah Burke will be receiving a Tag title shot up next.

In the first match of tonight we saw the rising tag team ‘The Golden Express’ win their first match on Raw and take home the gold. Both Shelton and Elijah proved too strong for the inexperience Cody Rhodes who for an unknown reason was switched off. The only way for Rhodes and Holly to retain their titles was for the more experienced of the two, Hardcore Holly to step into the driving seat but the speed of Elijah and Shelton was too much for Holly as Shelton ducked Holly’s clothesline then Elijah flying off the top rope executed a great dropkick, then once back to his feet Shelton finished off Holly with the paydirt to take home the gold.

Once Shelton and Elijah walk backstage holding high their titles Rhodes goes to help up Holly from the centre of the ring. Once back to their feet Rhodes shakes his head at Holly and slaps him across the face. The rage inside Holly begins to build up more and more, but before Holly can do anything he finds himself once again on the mat as Rhodes hits a snap DDT.

Back to the announcer table we go as both JR and King can’t believe what they just saw. They talk about what will merge out of this. They then go onto telling people that new Raw general manager Shane McMahon has added another title match to tonight’s card.

We cut backstage where we see Women’s champion the ‘Glamazon’ Beth Phoenix warming up in her locker room alongside Smackdown divas Victoria and Lita. The cameraman walks down the hall to a second locker room were inside Beth Phoenix’s recent rival Candice Michelle is also warming up alongside fellow raw diva Mickie James and Smackdown diva Michelle McCool, but before they face off later tonight Kane takes on CM Punk.

Back in the centre of the ring the ‘Big Red Monster’ Kane throws his hands up into the air as the flames shoot up. At ringside JR and King talk about the disturbed Kane as his nightmares have once again began since he began filming See No Evil 2. Kane’s opponent, making his debut on the Raw brand tonight, CM Punk. He heads down to the ring still holding his ECW title which the future of it still has yet to be confirmed whether its stays or goes.

Once in the ring the disturbed Kane goes straight to work on the ‘Straight Edge Superstar’ CM Punk. Kane controls most as he lets his angry out on CM Punk but when the lights flicker Kane is holding his head screaming no!!! CM Punk see’s the opening as he connects with the G.T.S on the mental monster to pick up a win on his debut match over on Raw. Punk holds high his championship as we head for a break.

After the break we go straight into more action, this time the divas as Candice Michelle, Mickie James and Michelle McCool make their way to the ring followed by their opponents Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix, Victoria and Lita. Before the action begins JR and King remind us that just yesterday on WWE.com it was announced that the Women’s title will go interbrand.

The match turns out to be quite energetic and both teams were given time to perform but the bookies favourite to win Beth Phoenix, Victoria and Lita were too strong for the other divas. The match came to a close as Lita and Candice both fort on the outsider of the ring as well as McCool and Victoria the Women’s champion Beth Phoenix and Mickie James were left in the ring. Phoenix charged at Mickie in the corner but Mickie managed to slip aside sending Phoenix smashing into the corner, then once she came back Mickie went for the Mickie-DT but just when the fans thought she had it in the bag Phoenix threw Mickie off her and kicked her in the gut then performed a fisherman suplex for the win.

Candice came to the aid of Mickie as Phoenix booted in to her but Phoenix smashed the belt across Candice’s head then began her attack on Candice as we cut backstage were Triple H heads into Shane McMahon’s office and on his way out is ex general manager William Regal who doesn’t look to happy carrying a box full of his stuff. Triple H goes on to ask if he’s in a match against Carltio tonight yet. Shane tells him it’s on but Randy Orton will be at Carlito’s side. Triple H nods his head and heads out of the office.

We head back over to JR and King as they talk about what’s left tonight saying that last tonight Triple H will face off against Carlito but before that Jeff Hardy will defend his Intercontinental championship against a superstar returning to Raw and former Intercontinental champion John Morrison.

A fast paced match to keep the night going really entertains the crowd tonight. Fan favourite Jeff Hardy wrestling style is similar to his opponent John Morrison but like many other superstars back on Raw tonight he wins much to the dislike of the fans. The match went both ways seeing both men taking control at different times. The match ended when it looked like Jeff was about to retain as he stepped back from Morrison’s dropkick which instead hit the ref then Jeff performed a jawbreaker when Morrison was back up. Hardy then hit the twist of fate as the lights flicked just like in Kane and CM Punk’s match and when they came back on their he was heading down the ramp, Kane. Jeff tried to ignore him as he headed up top for the Swanton but, Kane was in the ring before he could hit it Jeff instead went for a crossbody but was caught in midair then tossed across the ring. Hardy went back at Kane but Kane connected the chokeslam and left the ring. Morrison lay over Jeff as the ref slowly pinned making Morrison the new Intercontinental champion.

Over at the announce table JR and King are going frantic over what just happened. They talk about Jeff becoming Kane’s first victim then move onto Morrison winning the Intercontinental championship. They then move on to talk about tonight’s main event before heading into a commercial break.

Back from the break we’re no longer stalling as we move into the main event as the ‘Cerebral Assassin’ Triple H heads down to the rings much to the crowds delight. His opponent Carlito accompanied by the WWE champion Randy Orton heads down to the rings. Throughout the match Carlito proved worthy of himself although the ‘King of Kings’ looked too much. WWE champion Randy Orton ended the match as when HHH looked for the pedigree, Orton charged in smashing his belt to the head of HHH. The ref quickly rang for the bell but Orton and Carlito continued their attack as we go air.

Hope you all enjoy, its a new style for me but im pretty happy with it.

Okay, a quick review

Best Angle- I really like the Kane crazy heel turn and the light flicker thing. I think a feud with Hardy could do both good... interesting.

Worst Angle- All good, ME could be better, divas worst I have to say

Interesting BTB, but I like it. More detail overall and some bold/italics could help. This has potential. Don't give away match ends until after short recap. Just a tip. ***1/4 for first show. Keep it up.

Smackdown!

Tonight "The Doctor Of Thuganomics" John Cena makes his long awaited return from both injury and the Raw brand. The brand where his dreams began Smackdown now holds John Cena once again. So opening the show tonight WWE diva search winner Eve Torres will be interviewing Cena.

Also this week on Smackdown with the Women’s Championship now going interbrand the Smackdown divas have to make themselves look worthy of holding the title so Smackdown GM Stephanie McMahon has booked four divas to wrestle in a fatal four way match.

It has also been announced that Matt Hardy will be going head to head in an Armageddon rematch against MVP.

Hope everyone enjoys my first Smackdown which should be posted tonight, please feel free to add your comments

Friday Night Smackdown!

Kicking off tonight’s Smackdown a man missed by many fans, a former WWE Champion; "The Doctor Of Thuganomics" John Cena made his long return to his home brand Smackdown. Waiting backstage was Eve Torres ready to interview him. The fans lift out their seats as Cena walks into the picture. Diva search winner Eve Torres gives us a rundown of Cena’s serious injury which he just overcame. She begins asking questions such as is he glad to be back and what is in store for his future. As for the first question which everyone already assumed he was delighted to be back. Then for the second question much to the fans delight Cena says that he has the title in his sight and he doesn’t care who’s holding it, Undertaker, Edge, Batista then so be it but first he has to take care of some unfinished business, the man who put him out on the sidelines, Mark Henry who he will face next.

Mark Henry heads out first to a swarm of boos but he just shrugs them off like there nothing, then before the music even starts John Cena is running down the ramp. Watching this really shows you what revenge means. Cena first with the hard rights and lefts then whips Henry onto the ropes then executing the FU when Henry comes back then into the STFU to make short work of the man that injured him Mark Henry. The fans rise to their feet for the outstanding quick performance by John Cena as he then stands signalling for the belt.

To get away from the loud cheers we cut backstage to see Lita heading down the hallway until she comes to a halt. In front of her is A-train she begins talking to him stating that Edge is receiving his championship match against the Undertaker tonight and they could do with a little help. But Train answers back with why does he needs my help. Lita replies with well you’ know just in case Taker’s getting the upper hand. But she has no luck as Train says sorry Lita its gona take more than that and heads off into his locker-room as we go from a commercial break.

After the break a team that had a brief feud against ‘The Golden Express’ Elijah Burke and Shelton Benjamin back on ECW, who like to be named the ‘The Extremists’ Tommy Dreamer and Steven Richards. Make their way to the ring to their already awaited opponents, Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder. Both teams showcase some good tag team tactics which plays a part towards the finish as Hawkins jumps into the ring to double team Dreamer alongside Ryder but Steven Richards comes to the aid throwing Hawkins straight back out of the ring then as Ryder heads at him he connects with a super-kick spinning Ryder round to Dreamer who finishes him off with the Dreamer DT to pick up their first win on Smackdown.

As the winning tag team celebrate their first win on the Smackdown brand we cut backstage to Lita walking into Edge’s locker room we follow her inside to hear her telling Edge that Train isn’t going to help them. An angry Edge tells Lita that they need somebody; Lita then tells Edge that Train said that it will take more than what she done to get him. Which results in Edge saying try again, this time in your towel. Lita doesn’t look to happy and heads out the room.

Back at the ring with a microphone in his hands MVP is waiting to speak. He begins ranting on about his lose at Armageddon how it was a fluke and he deserved to keep his title. He says it was a fluke because he only won by a roll up and Matt Hardy could never beat him clean. This resulted in Matt coming out to the ring with his new United States belt over his shoulder. Hardy says that he beat MVP at Armageddon and he’ll beat him again tonight. MVP wastes no time in trying to win back his title has he attacks Hardy before he even puts his belt down.

In the Armageddon rematch both man wrestled well with things nearly going both ways. MVP looked really confident in retaining his title but couldn’t overcome Hardy. The match came to a close when MVP was in control until he botched a suplex from the top rope, luckily not injuring himself or Matt. This was the opening for Hardy as he hit the side effect then circled a weakened MVP finally hitting the Twist of Fate to win his first title defence and retain the United States Championship.

Lita looks along the corridor in her towel making sure no one’s there then enters the locker room, she can’t see anyone but it seems like there’s someone in the shower room. Unable to see due to the steam Lita heads in not known what’s in store for her? She says hey Al and then drops her towel and locks lips, whilst kissing they slowly walk out of the showers and into the locker room. Then they stop kissing and Lita notices and shouts ‘what, you’. No not A-Train but former World Heavyweight Champion Batista is staring at her body when Lita slaps him and storms out, left standing there dazed Batista looks down at his bits and says ‘stay down big boy’ as we cut to the ring.

Now that the Women’s championship has gone interbrand the women on Smackdown have to make themselves look worthy, so next four women, Victoria, Michelle McCool, Ashley and Kelly Kelly all go head to head in a fatal four way to see who walks out strongest of the Smackdown divas. Once all the women are out they began to fight, all for all. In the end Kelly fell victim to the ‘Widows Peak’ for Victoria to pick up the win when Ashley speared Michelle out of the ring then when she turned around Kelly hit a strong clothesline but with doing this Kelly was unaware of Victoria behind her when she turned around and fell prey to the ‘Widows Peak’ Then we head into the break.

After the break we head to the announce table were Cole and Tazz fill us in on the next match saying. At Armageddon Edge defeated Batista and Rey to earn a shot at the Undertaker. But instead of the match being at the Royal Rumble Stephanie moved it to tonight as the fans have already missed two weeks of Smackdown. So up next it is The Undertaker defending his championship against the number one contender Edge.

In the main event of the night Edge wrestled Undertaker in a great physic match spanning over a least 15 minutes with the match going both ways. Already near the end and Edge had survived the chokeslam and Undertaker had survived two chair shots and a spear. Undertaker looked to take the match when hitting the diving clothesline off the top rope then waited on one knee as Edge regained to his feet once up Taker grabbed him and set him up for the deadly tombstone but as Taker was walking around holding Edge Lita swiped his feet resulting in Edge landing on Taker. Only getting the two count both men were back up, Edge ducked Takers clothesline and came back with a spear to win the World Heavyweight Championship once again. Then as Edge and Lita celebrate their victory in the ring all goes darks as the lighting cuts. Once the power regains left lying in the ring are Lita and Edge and Undertaker is gone.

Well hope people enjoy, I have took your advice and added more promos. I’m pretty happy with this show hope you enjoy please don’t hold back your comments good or bad.

This is an intresting style of writing you are using man. I hope it's a recap.. Well here's my short review, and comment's on Smackdown!... Honestly man I think you can put more effort into everything rather that just summarizing segments. I wouldv'e loved the show if it was longer, and more matierial. With that said here's the statistics..

Best Match/Angle: Well I'd say the main event. Sounded good.. It's just wierd for Edge to beat The Undertaker with a spear. Especially, when it's for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Best Promo: I laughed at the Batista, and Lita thing. Kind of slutty for Lita to take off her towel IMO. Also, that doesn't seem realistic. It's more realistic if she teased it or something. Man Batista's always getting ass he got at Melina once, now Lita.. Damn you David!!

Worst Match/Angle: I can't say being that every match was five lines or shorter. All sounded good, and had nice short endings.

Worst Promo: Once again none..

Additional Comments: Like I said man give more effort. You have the ability to stay in character as I saw most things that happened.. If they were longer you'd definatley get a review from me every week. Well I think you have potential man.. Good luck with this as I'm reading.

Also, drop a review on my ECW btb man!

BM: Main event definitely. It is a great surprise to see that Lita is on your roster and that Edge is the New World Champion. Surprised to see that the World Title changed hands on a weekly show.

WM: Once again, there wasn't a bad match, but I would say the Women's Division match, since I don't really care for the Women's Division. Sorry.

BP: Loved the Batista and Lita promo with Lita thinking Batista was A Train to try and get Train to help Edge.

WP: All of your promos were good man.

Much better show with the promo's, loved the World Title change. I also like Matt Hardy as the US Champ.
