if you want to get crazy, you can go realy wild and do

MJF vs.....
sting-aew.gif
and have him retire him
I’m not that emotionally attached to Sting.
Don’t get me wrong, he’s great but I never watched WCW or TNA. And when he finally came to WWE, I was starting to watch less and less even before he got injured by Seth Rollins.

I would like to see him wrestle, but perhaps just not in the main event.

fair

its more a crazy thought for sure. I would not mind him and darby vs each other or them finally challenging for the tag titles here tho

Ooh, interesting. I would like to see that. Darby has got to break away from him at some point.
Do you think Darby would make a good heel? Because Sting is going to get cheered regardless if he played the heel role.

I think he’d do well at it too.
And just going back to the main event talk.
If it’s not the World Title on last.
I can see it being CMFTR vs The Elite.

that being said @TeaDrinkingLimey , they could also do a thing where Darby loses to MJF at the ppv, they get in an argument over it, and then Sting says something a bit harsh and Darby is like fine ill prove it to you by beating you and u have a face vs face thing based on mutual respect. im not opposed to any variation of the feud tho, i think really Darby should be the one to send him out

yeah the 6 man tag works. The only thing with Punk that I worry is you need to book All Out the next week. Can you trust Punk to be in two matches within a week after his health stuff last year? its risky imo

Good idea.
I like it. :D
But we know that AEW loves a beat down with no save.
So I can see Darby turning on Sting.

yeah I was saying in the main chat, I could see Darby going heelish after gets fucked over on the next PPV in the 4 way and just decides to burn everything to the ground

Only Punk knows what his body is capable of.
So FTR could work a fair amount of the match.

yeah agreed, I certainly would not risk booking him in two singles matches. and I also would probably book him in a singles match in front of 60k plus over chiago where he will get cheered regardless if he is in a tag or singles. I think too a singles Punk match would be a bigger ticket driver for UK to help really fill it up. just some thoughts though obv

In fairness to Punk his two injuries were unrelated and perhaps completely coincidental, I wouldn't assign him the "injury prone" label yet, just terrible timing for both. Foot injury especially I think was a freak deal, triceps one we've seen Edge and Christian have recently too so maybe that's an age thing where they're extending themselves too hard, could have been him trying to do too much after a long layoff too. I'd be more concerned if he reinjured the foot tho for example
