I swear to god I am going to bash my computer to fucking pieces. Every time I open up Windows Movie Maker (the one for XP, I think its Movie Maker 2) and work on a project a fucking error message pops up..you know, the one with the "send" and "dont send" shit. It doesn't matter what I click, the thing still closes down and I lose most of what I was working on. I dont get it, why the fuck is it doing this? Can any one of you guys help me with this? Got any solutions? Is their any other program similar to Movie Maker that I can use? Or can you fix this? Please!?

Rep will be added ofcourse, please any help will be very much appreciated!

Well, does it give you the message when you first open, or does it just happen randomly when you are working?

Secondly, what are you trying to do with Movie Maker? Are you trying to get actual movie clips? Or just play pictures in a sequence? Or What?

^ it happens no matter what I do. If I am trying to import video, as soon as I put it on the time line the error message comes up. Also, when I play pictures in a sequence, the damned thing comes up again. So basically, if I put anything on the time line, whether its audio, video, or pictures, it will pop up.

Yes, this has happened to me as well...

It just won't let you import clips or pictures, even if it does it's going to shut down after every 5 minutes or something when you try and drag the things onto the timeline. It would show an error message and shut down or it would go "Not responding" and you have to close it down via the Task Manager, actually it's just another one of a kind problem that happens likely because you've stored too much stuff within the temp memory of Movie maker and/or you switch too much between the two modes of your timeline.

One solution would be getting another basic video editing program from the internet or if you've got the CD for your Windows then re-install Windows Movie Maker from that disc and everything should go just fine.

Would it be possible for you to just use powerpoint and put pictures in w/ transitions and text? And if you need music just play it in the CD-Rom when playing. Would that be a possibility you could do? If not, I'd just suggest uninstalling it and then reinstalling it.

^ I dont know, the Power Point thing would be a little confusing. Besides, i need a program to put up my Samoa Joe tributes on Youtube, and Movie Maker seems like the easiest one to use. I guess I'll reinstall it and see what happens...

It must be something else that bothers it, since Chuck had the same problem and it didn't work with re-installing...

How about getting something like Ulead Movie Studio or any other basic video editing program from the internet?

make sure its the only thing running. it happens with visual studio sometimes....thats why i fucking hate microsoft. they take so much of your ram and process....

and if you're only doing pics with music, use powerpoint then convert ppt to wmv/avi/mpeg whatever..
