I'm a giant geek sometimes. Less these days but that's strictly due to lack of ability to indulge my geekery.

Like in RPGs. And not the PC or Console type either. I'm talking about pen/paper/dice style. D&D style baby.

Not just D&D either. The white wolf systems primarily. Like Vampire: The Masquerade, Mage: The Ascension, Wraith: The Oblivion etc.

On top of that, I not only indulge in this geekery, I'm usually the asshole who gets stuck telling the story. (I refuse to refer to myself as "Dungeon Master". My geekery does have limits.)

So yeah, who else out there in IWF land has ever gotten into this ish? Or is still into it? 'Cause like we could totally set up a game on here :shifty:

I thought of this last night after I was asked the most embarrassing thing that I enjoy and I told her either professional wrestling or RPGs. Apparently wrestling isn't anywhere near as geeky as D&D lol.

I knew a guy that had a wooden, velvet-lined box in which he carried all of the time. Inside that box....his Magic cards and a constantly clean pair of white gloves.

Yeah, I see those people on a daily basis minus the white gloves, that's a new one. Like I would never laugh at anyone for being a geek. (Unless its Star Trek or Star Wars. Seriously get a life, you're never going to nail 7of9 or Leia) but I come close when see people like that. However if I saw the white gloves I don't think I could contain myself.

Were his cards at least worth something?

Well, I don't know anything about Magic, but from what I've heard everyone else say, he was very good, so I'm assuming they were. I know he did tournaments all of the time. He actually joined the Marines after high school which was surprising.
