Ok, so almost a half year has passed, so I think it's about time to start thinking about Match Of The Year Candidates. There have been some great matches over the past 5 1/2 months, so everyone put your MOTY Candidates in this thread. You can combine TNA and Indy if you want. I'm going to. It'd get more discussion here anyways prolly. Anyways, here's what I got so far:

I agree with all of the WWE matches. We are like 1/3 into the year, but there isn't that many great matches, the match quality has been pretty shitty. TNA's matches are so completely random I don't remember any of them. I heard the 6 Man hardcore/table match at Destination X was pretty good...I heard.

Yeah, they have quite a few matches that range in that *** and ***1/2 area, that it's just kinda hard to include them all. The 3 Way Tag at Destination X and the Street Fight at Against All Odds was also decent.

When it comes down to it, Flair-Michaels from Wrestlemania 24 will win MOTY because...well it was Flair's last match and that alone is bigger then anything else since Flair is arguably the greatest pro wrestler of all-time.

Perhaps it could go in the SF section, but as I said in the opening post, it'd more than likely get more discussion here. Move it there if you want though Kaedon.

my two favourite Matches so far this year have gotta be LAX vs Rock and Rave Infection vs MCMG at Destination X and the MITB Ladder match from Wrestlemania. a close third will be HBK vs Flair

I don't really know if I've seen a MOTY Candidate from WWE, I haven't sunk my teeth into WM24 yet, but outside of Flair/HBK, there wasn't anything I've seen that was a special match. I also haven't gotten into that many PPV matches, so that's what I'm lacking in too.

Edge vs Undertaker (WM24)
Jeff Hardy vs Umaga (Raw in January)

TNA, I'd throw in Angle/Joe from Lockdown, but there was so many mixed reaactions for it.

Now we go with ROH. Just finished watching Supercard of Honor III and Dragon Gate Challenge II, and those are MUST BUYS. But ROH's best matches I've seen are...

Aries vs McGuinness (Rising Above)

CIMA, Ryo Saito & Dragon Kid vs Masato Yoshino, Naruki Doi, & Genki Horiguchi (SCOH III)

Steen & Generico vs Naruki Doi and Masato Yoshino (SCOH III)

Aries vs Go Shiozaki (6YAS)

McGuinness vs Danielson (6YAS)

I'd go with Kurt Angle vs Samoa Joe at Lockdown, I marked out when Joe finally won the World Title and it really was a classic match. They mixed MMA/Pro Wrestling beatifully, and it created a match that was both innovative and entertaining at the same time.

On the WWE Side of things, no doubt HBK vs Ric Flair gets my vote, it was Ric Flair's last match and I really loved it. HBK busted his ass to make the match good and it paid off, this was a Wrestlemania moment that will be remembered for a long time.

If I were to pick one MOTY though I'd go with Angle/Joe, I'm too much of a Joe mark to not choose his match as MOTY, and seeing him finally win that World Title was awesome

I dont see many really huge standout Matches yet this year, besides Flair/HBK which I really havent sat down and really watched yet tbh, I think we will see some very good matches soon WWE has really stepped the fuck up...Orton/HHH always work great together, and yeah, TNA....I havent seen shit so I cant judge lol
