It's less than two weeks away, the major hype should start now. I'm going to the show, and I'm really pumped to go, it's such a big landmark in ROH's history. So far the card looks good, and the next week more should be announced.

ROH World Title Match
Nigel McGuinness defends vs. Claudio Castagnoli

World Tag Team Title Match
Jay Briscoe & Austin Aries defend vs. Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black

Ring of Honor vs. NOAH
Bryan Danielson vs. Naomichi Marufuji

Battle Of The Brawlers
Takeshi Morishima vs. The Necro Butcher

FIP World Heavyweight Title Match
Roderick Strong defends vs. Erick Stevens vs. Go Shiozaki

Also scheduled to appear:
-Kevin Steen & El Generico
-Davey Richards & Rocky Romero of No Remorse Corps
-The Vulture Squad of Jack Evans & Jigsaw with Julius Smokes
-Sweet & Sour Inc. of Chris Hero & Brent Albright with Larry Sweeney, Bobby Dempsey & Shane Hagadorn
-Delirious
-Plus more to be added!!!

Thoughts?

Try again
As much as I hate the briscoes, I hope Jay and Austin Aries wins. Delirious for ROH Champion! The guy rocks.

I don't want Aries and Jay to come out with the titles, AOTF lost some steam after they lost the titles. I've also really become a fan of Tyler Black after seeing him on the ROH DVD's I have, and watching him on youtube on nameless indy promotions.

First things first... You're a lucky dude for having a chance to attend that show. Morishima vs Necro is the match that I'm looking forward to the most. You just know those two guys are going to kill themselves out there.

As for the tag title situation, I would prefer to have Aries and Jay retain. The tag titles have been switched around as of late, and some stability is needed in my opinion. Of course, I just hope that it doesn't end with a swerve... Namely Aries turning on Jay and joining the AoTF as they win the tag titles.

I dont know who i want to see win the tag belts in that one. The Aries/Jacobs fued looks like it could be the fued of the year, so i want to see that progress. AOTF recently defeated MCMG's so that should give him a big push as the best tag team, with Steenerico still around.

Then im sure they are going to want some angle with Mark Briscoe when he returns.

But the Hammerstein card is stacked. I only wonder if the main event can live up to the expectations, as Nigel/Cluadio (two bigger guys) can pull off a main event worthy of hammerstein with Danielson/Marifuji on the undercard. The FIP boute looks insane as well.

this kind of card is exactly why ROH is great. i would so give anything to be able to go to that.

and i actually think to give the tag belts to AOTF. pretty much on the biases that im sick of the Briscoe, or any combination of a brisoce and some other dude, and ATOF are fucking amazing

I don't think Claudio vs Nigel will main event the show, I'm leaning towards the Dragon/Marufuji match or the Tag Title match. I totally forgot that Morishima was champ, and it would be amazing if they did Nigel vs Morishima III somewhere down the road.

I think Nigel vs Claudio has to main event. Its their biggest first time matchup they have at the moment.

It would be Nigel vs Morishima IV too. They fought at Fighting spirit, Live in Japan, and Undeniable. I do want to see the match again, shima never got his rematch. It would be interesting to see Morishima as the face this time around.

Any thoughts on what DVD's I should get? I'm pretty sure that the buy 3 get 1 free sale will be in place there, and with mine and my brother's money, we're going to get absolutely apeshit, maybe getting 8-12+ DVD's. I already have my eye on buying...

Sixth Year Anniversary
Eye of the Storm
Undeniable
Rising Above
FYF New York
FYF Philly (to finish my FYF collection)

Anyone want to suggest something else? If you didn't know, ROH only sells DVD's at live shows from 2006 on, but with the historical shows too. I might pick up a UWA Hardcore DVD or two and FIP redefined.

I'd go with:

6th Anniversary

Supercard of Honor 3 (havent seen it, but i talked with someone there, and they said it was one of the best ROH shows they've seen. It should be out be may 10th i think)

Rising Above

The fourth choice is hard...I liked Eye of the storm, but there isn't any classic matches. But good solid matches and fun entertaining Steen antics.

If you need a FYF to complete you set, than you may go for that, although i wasn't too big on those shows.

Im not big on undeniable, Final Battle was solid, and i really liked GBH 6 night 2. Not sure if you seen those yet. So i'd pick Eye of the storm or GBH 6 N2 for the last one.

I'm def going to get Eye of the Storm, just because I was there, and how it came out on DVD. If SCOH and All Star Extravaganza are out, I'll get those too. I already have GBH 6 Night 2 and Final Battle 2007, I liked FB better out of the two. It sucks that ROH doesn't sell IWA-MS DVD's or comps, they sell a couple of other indies at the live shows, but not that promotion.
