- Mike Johnson of the Pro Wrestling Insider website is reporting that the new Ric Flair DVD project will be released on July 8th.

- Speaking of Flair, in a recent interview he said that he will remain with WWE in a public relations role. He shot down the idea of an announcer role as he said he didn't think he would do well with it. Flair also has big plans to build his Finance company in Charlotte.

3 months isn't too far away. :y:

And I guess Flair doesn't realize who the SD announce team is?

Ric Flair as an announcer? :g: They should try doing this, it might turn out good.

As for the DVD, it would be awesome! Although much better Flair DVD's have been released in the past, this one is after his retirement and they should have some good things in there!

Oh man I would've loved to have seen the nature boy whoo himself through announcing. PR? Man he needs an on-screen role dammit.

OMG, Flair as an announcer would be a DUMB MOVE. he hasn't got the voice for it. I'm not being funny but he has a lisp and hes not that clear when he talks!

I don't think putting him in the booth immediately would be a good idea. And I could see him not wanting to be an announcer, I never thought he would be an amazing announcer, better than Coach, but not amazing. I expect him to stay away for a year or so then having a shocking return as a GM or manager, which would be a role that I think he would really excell at.

flair would be best used behind the scenes. all this goodbye stuff would be pointless if you see im on tv every week.

^That's why they'd have to wait if they were going to do it. There's no way it would make any sense if they did within the next couple months. The PR thing will work for a while, but in the long run after a year or more I'd be shocked if we don't see Flair in an on tv role.

Are you kidding me? ANYONE would be better than Cole and Coach.

'HE'S GOT THAT HOLD LOCKED IN'!

lol, I even saw a GIF yesterday making fun of Cole.

You cant send someone off like that and have them come back so quickly. I would personally feel betrayed.

Who said he had to come back now? I wouldn't want him to come back right away either. Give it like 6 months or something. But yeah, to have him come back right away would be kind of ridiculous.

Well a big reasonhe turned down the Announcer gig was ause he wants to be home more and announcing full time would have him on the round every week and he wants more tim to spend with his kids and wife. So idk if he would do good but I can say i bet a big part of that decision was being on the road or home with his family. If you remember his speech at the Halll of Fame he said that he wishes he had more time to spend with his kidns and wife cuase he is always wrestling.
