FDR faced worse and not only fixed it, but excelled at it. That excuse doesn't work for me.

I’m all for nuclear energy as long as it’s regulated well.

Nuclear Power is absolutely well-regulated, and it doesn't even need to be privatized, the government can totally afford to run several Nuclear plants throughout the United States and it'd be way more effective than other sources of power.

I've said in the past, I think a lot of people's views on Nuclear Power is tainted by Chernobyl and to an extend something like The Simspons, which paints a Nuclear Power Plant as inherently "unsafe".
