Ric Flair has signed a new three-year deal with WWE. The Nature Boy will remain a full-time company employee after his retirement from the ring. The storyline we saw started at RAW last night, where every one of Flair's singles matches are a "win or retire" match is expected to conclude at WrestleMania 24. As previously posted, Steve Austin came up with that storyline at this past WrestleMania.

Well, well, well. Stone Cold has some good ideas on booking.

well it would be a great story line if it wasn't so obvious he'll last until WM24 :music_whistling_1:

I've got a funny feeling he'll be against HBK in his final match. Another possibilty i think is that Vince will get so mad by Wrestlemania that he'll retire him personally to build on his ultimate heel character even more. Although that is less likely as I'm sure Flair will ask for a good 'wrestling' match in his grand finale.

WrestleMania, every year we see Vince have some sort of Match or involvement at the Event, WM 22 - Shawn vs. Vince, 23 - Hair vs Hair and I wouldn't be surprised to see Vince McMahon vs Ric Flair at WrestleMania 24, by the way it was really good to see Ric back in the ring, I'll tell you this one thing, he still has one more run left! If Hogan can do it why can't Ric Flair?

Hulk's last title run he was 49 Ric Flair is 58 that is why they will not give him another run.

I fail to see what age has to do with it...Flair can still wrestle...he can still cut promos...I say give him one more run...maybe have him hold the title until WM24 where he loses it and has to retire

Ric Flair doesn't need a championship though and WWE understands that Ric Flair is past his prime and is getting ready to retire. If Ric Flair were to win then that would ruin the credibility of whoever was the current champion. All Ric Flair should be doing right now is pushing young talent and trying to get others over.

Just to put a clean finish to his long and great career, they should give him atleast the US Championship if they can't afford to give him the "Big" one but I still think, despite all the complains from the critics, that he needs one more Championship run and a great Match, much more like his NWA Matches back in 89', His Career has been Awesome and just needs an exclamation mark to end it and a World Championship run would be the perfect fit.

Flair is one of the best, if not the best to ever step foot in a WWE ring, and I think he does need one more run.

Does this mean Flair can't be in the Rumble? Considering he has to win every match... then again if he's in it... He could win? I guess

^^That actually got me thinking...

How about having Flair win the Rumble and face "The Legend Killer" Randy Orton in a title Vs Career match with Vince backing Orton? also when Flair retires I can see him staying on air as a manager to a young star like Kennedy or Morrison or maybe have him just work behind the scenes.

Flair does deserve this long last 5 month run. Give him the title for a short period of time. And at wm24 have him fight hbk cause we all know that can be a very good match up. Flair should manage kenny or kennedy after his retirement fromt he ring. He signed a 3 year contract yesterday so i can see him being on wwe tv until late 08 then being a road agent.
