This is old but helpful, and there are a lot more Pokemon now and some Pokemon got better/worse.

And basically, we just draft 3 pokemon from each tier except ubers. Then, we battle each other, using six of our Pokemon. :3

Yup, watch videos and learn.
As long as you know type effectiveness, the physical/special split and how to put a team together with the right moves/EV's, you're good. Smogon can assist with this.

I've played and am trying to get used to the interface. SO you can't choose your own Pokémon? Just want to make sure I get it. I know most of the Pokémon and their abilities from playing 13,000 online trading card games.. so I should be okay if we don't pick our own.
