^Ok this is classic wrestling yet there is a majority of stars who only started wrestling on TV in the last 5 years.

Back on topic.
Hogan - Little talent but definatly NOT overrated due to his ability on the mic and abilty to draw the crowd. If not for him, you and I would not be on a wrestling forum.
HHH - definatly NOT overrated. Draws a crowd, decent mic skills, has a great look and decent skills in the ring.

Overall main overrated (by wat u sed, mic and ring skills only) ppl are (in no order):
Ultimate Warrior
Goldberg
Lex Luger
Steve "Mongo" McMichael
Glacier

This was in WWe general discussion.. but it got moved here by mike chaos

Aside from the people that have already been mentioned. I have to mention a greatly overrated wrestler. Randy Orton.

He's my favourite wrestler. But people talk about him as if he's the greatest thing since sliced bread. He's almost become a Chuck Norris Figure on the internet. He's a loser who constantly screws himself over behind the scenes.

Orton is the greatest thing since sliced bread. He is the only good thing in the WWE right now. He always puts on great matches, he is one of the greatest sellers ever. I love his old school style of wrestling. The guy makes foot stomps look better than most peoples finishers.

Last and certainly not least. He has the unteachable talent to make others look better in the ring. Thats what makes him one of the great heels. He can always make faces look like gold.

In The Past..
Hulk Hogan
Goldberg
The Big Show

Currently
John Cena
The Great Khali
Mark Henry/ Batista

You consider Cena and Mark Henry overrated by who? Certainly not the people on this board. In what sense do you mean overrated? By the WWE, by casual fans?

As to all the Foley being overrated stuff, I wouldn't say he's overrated at all. And he's only known for getting thrown off top of the cage in a HIAC match?? Royal Rumble 2000 hardcore match vs. Triple H? IYH Mind Games 96 vs. HBK? His countless battles with Terry Funk? His work in WCW with Vader and Sting? What about all this?

Also, about Foley being an average technical wrestler. Well, that may be the case, but he would be stupid to wrestle a purely technical wrestler style, so he doesn't. He knows his bounds, and works what he IS able to do well to perfection.

Anyway, on topic.

Hogan (to a degree)
Jeff Jarret
British Bulldog
Lex Luger
Rey Misterio Jr. (he's good, but some feel he's one of the best high flyers/juniors ever which I don't agree with).

All those I feel are at least a little overrated. Others will be mentioned I'm sure.

I agree. I thought that match was also overated. I mean, it had some great Holy Shit matches, but I really thought his bout against Rock when he won his first World Title on Raw in 1999 was his best match for storyline purposes.

Uh, so if you're going to say he's a brawler...there's much, much better brawlers out there. Austin for example.

And if you're going to call him a 'hardcore' wrestler, I'd have to point over at Raven being light years ahead of Foley overall in terms of wrestling and promo cutting.

^ Yeah, I know there are better hardcore wrestlers and brawlers out there. But I just like how Foley mixes the two styles together. My original response was really just to whoever said that Foleys only known for one match in his career (the Taker HIAC), and IMO that isn't true.

Triple H overrated? And you consider yourself a wrestling fan.

HHH was being pushed long time before his marriage with Steph, he even was ment to be pushed before Stone Cold Steve Austin, as the 97 KOTR was ment to be won by The Game(I think this is the one that a Stone Cold won).

Sure, you can say that DX wasn't fun, but you have to be talking about the new DX, because the old one was, just DX.

And maybe HHH bury some guys(RVD,Booker T, Scott Steiner, Kane), but Booker T, he was not ready for the big one yet, at least on WWE, Scott Steiner as champion, hell no! and Kane, he was on that lame lose the mask angle. RVD was not only bury by HHH, but by every main eventer.

Here are some really over rated guys:

1. Hulk Hogan
2. Ultimate Warrior
3. Kurt Angle
4. John Cena(by WWE management)
5. Batista(the same)
6. Stone Cold Steve Austin(great in every aspect, mic, attitude, but not as great in the ring, still better than plenty others, but not as good to have an entire era after him)
