Look, Venis does deserve a push and compete for the IC Title but he shouldent hold that title again, He's getting old and it would be better for the wwe to have a carlito as the intercontinental champ but that dosent mean Venis can compete for it and fued with the likes of Carlito and King Booker.

^ Maybe it's just me, but a sex symbol like Val Venis seems more appealing to me as a champion than an apple-spitting carribean fool. In either case, it doesn't matter. The IC scene is a joke as it is. Guys like Santino Marella and Carlito tarnished it with his stupid gimmick. He's only where he is now because he is a 2nd generation superstar. It's all politics.
Agreed. Val Venis should not be a headliner or main eventer, but I would like to see him get pushed because he has good in-ring abilities and can work the mic better than many popular WWE wrestlers at the moment.

Val should have gotten a push years ago, now its too late for him to get a push and if he's more than willing to get paid to job, then so be it.
ever since the ic belt was cancelled by bischoff and reinstated by austin it has been a joke and marella is the last nail in the coffin.The ic belt needs a stong champ to regain credibility but i don't see venis as that champ.val could have made a run for the european championship if the latter still existed but not the ic belt.
I used to be a big fan of Val and said only a few months ago that he should recieve some sort of push. But now, his time has come and gone. I have no interest in watching him and he bored me to death in his match with Booker this week. He should be a glorified jobeer, putting over young talent.

Ive been saying this for the past 4 years push val venis. Id put him on ecw and he can help out the new guys. Or even smackdown where you could have a stable of venis dykstera and masters.

Val's a good guy. He's probably so respected backstage. He probably doesn't bitch and moan about jobbing and he's happy with what was given to him. Stevie Richards on the other hand is a little weasle with an annoying 6 year-old boys voice, who screwed over the guys in the original ECW, and wonders why his phone only rings when someone needs a job.
Val Venis is awesome, hes better than 50% of the other WWE talent, I cant believe hes never main evented.
If anthing, he should have gone to SD! and been on the same level as Hardcore Holly (veteran who can put over the younger guys). But Val would have been a better option, for the simple fact that Holly is injured 24/7/365!
he should be pushed....he definetly deserves it but it won't happen....not with the way things are in WWE right now...although I agree with some of you that think that a move to either SD or ECW would be best for him.....with his gimmick right now I can definetly see him doing some crazy shit with the girls from extreme expose
Venis should be in the IC picture but not as the champion. He's much older and he's packed on some pounds, the sex symbol gimmick is really old but he still gets a pop from the crowd in singles matches. Venis should be greatful he still has a job, through all the releases that the WWE has made in the past few years he's one of the few that have survived the cuts.
