Dave Meltzer is reporting that World Wrestling Entertainment has purchased Jim Cornette’s 50% ownership of WWE’s developmental territory – Ohio Valley Wrestling, based in Louisville, KY. Danny Davis owns the other half of OVW. Cornette had been hands off with OVW since joining TNA following his release from his WWE contract.

I personally think this a bad move by Cornette atleast when he had a stake he had the opportunity to look at the young talent going through there and help steal them from under WWE's nose for TNA

Yeah but i'm sure they offered him a nice chunk of change for it. And bringing in the talent to TNA will only help as long as TNA stays afloat and they keep his job. You never know these days so I think taking the offer from WWE was something alot more stable, and probably well worth it down the road.

yeah i doubt having a stake in OVW would help him gain an insight on what wwe's young talent are. if you want to see the young talent, just go to the show. if you ask me, it's a smart move by cornette

even if he still owned 50% of the company he can't steal talent for TNA since a) he has no real power in TNA and is only an on camera autority role, and b) the majority of OVW talent is under WWE contract.
