Wes Brisco, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Gerald Brisco, has been released from his WWE developmental deal. That's somewhat surprising as he had a hell of an upside. He's starting to take independent bookings.

Very surprised to read this. I had assumed that eventually he would have made it to the main roster. Everything I read about him in FCW was positive so I wonder what caused them to make this decision.

Possibly. I don't know how long he has been in developmental for but maybe he was sick of waiting. This may work out well for him where he can get experience elsewhere and then come back to WWE in the future as a more experienced wrestler.

I was a bit stunned by this, I wonder why he wanted to leave. Maybe he prefered the Indy's.

Might be able to make more money touring on the indies and might be sick of waiting for his chance. I am sure that WWE will keep a eye on him in the future.
