Is WWE On The Verge Of Another Great Era

I was just wondering with the great talent comming throught the ranks in the WWE like Punk, MVP, Kennedy, Burke, Carlito, Cor Von, Nitro and even Orton to name a few. Do you think if these stars can be booked properly by the WWE we are the verge of another great era, I cant remember when WWE has had this much talent in there rosters for a long time. A good plus is that there would be a strong midcard because that is what lacked in the Attitude Era the midcard was poor in my opinion.
Hell i would go as far as to say if these new stars are utulized properly it could eclipse the Attitude Era (i would say the Attitude Era is the greatest era ever but in my opinion Early 1990s Japan wrestling was the greatest wrestling era)

Discuss.

In 2003, they were on the verge of another great ERA. Not anymore.

In 03 they had huge up and comers in Brock, Cena, Orton, Shelton and Batista.

Brock quit, the WWE dropped the ball with Orton, Shelton and Batista never improved and Cena has gotten a mixed reaction for 2 years now.

The point is, you can't predict when another wrestling boom takes place. It usually comes when you least expect it.

Having the talent means nothing if its not used right (See Orton, Randy, Carlito, Benjamin, Shelton and Nitro, Johny among others).

Could this be the start of a great era? Sure, but it probably won't be because the WWE still wants to push the same guys that no one cares about.... Khali.

The Wrestling is getting better and even the divas are improving ie. Candice. Cena and Shawn going one hour was awesome. Edge and Orton put on greayt matches together and now they are on different shows they can put on them matches with midcarders and make the best midcarders the WWE have ever had at one point.

i personnaly think the WWE could have been heading for a great era if they'd booked the Edge vs. Cena fued correctly. I believe that if they'd done that right (along with other things ( MNM, Carlito, return of Hardy Boys, return of DX, KAne and Undertaker)) then we could be in or in the begging of a great WWE era.

But, in relation to Viva's question, i think they passed their oppurtunity. Yes, they've got great talent coming up. Yes, they did in 2003, and look what happened. The only one who's got much of anything from the '03 group is Cena. In Montana's thread, we're all going "crazy" because the WWE booked an RVD vs. Orton match. This and Montana's thread relate. WWE is finally starting to do some things right, but until they stop giving Khali the Main Event, and book Kane and Carlito and other people right, i don't think that the WWE is a verge of a great era. If they book the young AND old talent correctly, then, possibly, a great era will be upon us.

Heres the deal..WWE has its ups and downs every month,The only reason that people are saying how good it is is because we have ONS with some sick matches and the draft coming up.Well a couple weeks ago everyone would rather chew glass in hell than watch a WWE show lol.WWE could be on the verge of a great era one week and then be as bad as ever the next.Thats how its been for the past 5 years or so.We will never see anything like 1998-2001 that was the best period ever imo. What we will see is ups and downs and alot of them.

No..

IMO The golden ages were 80s. The world was inlove with hulk hulking up. New ideas were coming up. The world was just ready then.

And the bigst boom was the mid/late 90s. The world was all so ready in the 90s. pluss there were the rating wars with WCW. It felt new and cool. It was no longer about men in shorts.
It was about blood/sex and swearing. TEENAGERS all over the world were making there owen backyard wrestling ect.
Plus WWF was not fancy, rich and high production. Now days it is.

I think WWE has turned back into a family show.

There are only 4 ways Wrestling will have boom.

1. Stop being a family show, Turn to swearing and more adult thems for teenagers. (like it or not)

2. If TNA and prehapes ROH or who ever eles gets into a full on rating war with WWE.

3. Book better

4. Stop thinking about money.

I dont no about every one eles but here in new zealand we dont watch WWE much becuase its only on Sky TV. (cable TV)
In the 90s Raw was on every week.

Any thoughts?

They have the wrestlers to do it, but they don't have the common scense and creativity for it.

TNA at one time showed promise, but they're done now. They have no chance.

All you guys out there support ROH because they're the best around right now.

I don't think they are becuase right now their PPV sales are not where they want them to be, exspecialy since now the PPV's are using talent from all three brands. On top of that the UFC is exploding right now, and is becoming a big craze in this area of sports. I do not think that the both of them will be real popular at the same time. most casual fans will head for UFC becuase it is real fighting.

I think it's sad that you think that the WWE has to swear and be edgy in order to have a good product. That is just ridiculous.
