Well as you know Dolph Ziggler last week became the number one contender for the World Title after working his way up from the bottom being in a stable where no one really cared for him. It has been a great rise for him and he certainly deserves it. Now I was wondering which star do you think will be next to make the big breakthrough after Miz and Ziggler both did so?

For me I am looking at Smackdown to produce this star again and in my opinion it will be Cody Rhodes or Drew McIntyre. I mean both have improved vastly at the moment, Cody is amazing in the ring awesome on the mic and knows how to draw heat. And as for McIntyre well he no longer bores me and put on a really exciting matches and good promos, he just have the look of a champ.

I have to say WWE is on the works of pushing some of their well known mid cards into the higher ends the rosters. Simply put that w/ big stars like Randy Orton & John Cena & Rey Mysterio all have been in the headlines of things for the past 8 years WWE is finally realizing it's time for a change. John Cena, Randy Orton & Rey Mysterio can all draw a good crowd with out being in any title matches if the story lines are very interesting. I See WWE using Cena, Orton, & Rey in the coming months as big starts to help bring over some of the higher end mid card stars or to help break in new talent. Mean while keeping the heavy weight n wwe titles fresh w/ young faces n new names such as Miz, Ziggler, Shamus, & pretty soon maybe Wade, Drew & or Alberto

I think Alberto is already over through Mysterio and everyone know's how good he his, heck he got a massive reaction off the UK fans. I hope that Drew and Cody step up though, I really do like them :).

Mason Ryan just debuted, but I think he could be the next guy in the top card. It took Batista a couple of years in Evolution, maybe the Nexus will put him in the big spot in similar fashion. Feel bad for Skip Sheffield though, that's for sure.

All I have seen of Mason Ryan is his debut on RAW this week and on that he looks damn impressive. He is a giant, he looks more built than Batista and Cena which is very impressive. I haven't seen him wrestle but he should be fine if he is booked the same as Batista was. Take it slow with him and protect him in the ring for at least the first year.

As for the one to take the next big step I think it has to be Drew McIntyre. All he needs is a slight gimmick change and I think he could be huge. He has the look and the ring skills he is just a bit weak on the mic and his character just isn't right. The same could be said about a few others though, DiBiase and Morrison come to mind, who just need slight gimmick changes to get them to the next level.

It will be interesting to see who is elevated this year since I expect to see quite a few new and fresh faces in the title scenes on both RAW and Smackdown.

Davy Richards thinks its too early for him to be called up, so he might not last long. Who knows, he definitely is impressive to look at, but he needs to have a personality and look like he knows what he is doing to get over.

Alberto Del Rio is primed and ready for gold.

If ADR doesn't win the title by the end of the year then something has gone horribly wrong. He has already been in title matches and seemed at ease in the mainevent scene. He should definitely be WHC by mid 2011 at the latest, he would be an awesome champion and WWE have finally found another big Mexican star to boost their ratings in the latino market especially since Mysterio can't have long left.

I am loving everything Del Rio is selling right now to be honest. Outside his awful infamous MMA stint his past work in Mexico was very solid and he has the look. The guy is very entertaining and brings it in the ring. Wouldn't be shocked if he wins the title shortly after Mania.

I wouldn't describe his MMA career as disastrous, not like he was Kimbo Slice, that Cro Cop LHK is still highlight reel worthy.

I think the best thing about Del Rio is his facial expressions, which is surprising since he worked under a mask his entire career.

I had no idea that Del Rio once competed in MMA, moreover, got ktfo'd by Cro Cop in Pride. I guess that's one of the bad things about not following WWE for a year; you don't know anything about the new guys who are just coming through from development. :p

Hilarious that he fought in a mask. Impressive highlight reel kick by Cro Cop.

What does everyone think about Kofi Kingston and his chances of winning the World/WWE title this year? About a year ago he was the rising star in WWE, quickly becoming a fan favourite and winning the midcard titles very soon after he debuted. He seemed to be on the track to the mainevent but he didn't have the most impressive year last year. Yes he was still regularly involved in the IC title scene on Smackdown he didn't make the move up the card and some others in the midcard went past him in the pecking order. Can he finally have a breakout year this year and make it to the top of the ladder on Smackdown?

WWE just seemed to change their mind about him. One minute he's in a hot feud with Orton and the next he's back down in the midcard. Similar thing happened with Swagger, although Swagger went one step further (and became champion) before he was dumped back down the card.

I can't see him having a breakout year now though. I think his big shot was during the Orton feud, and now, he's going to be stuck in the midcard for the best part of his WWE career. I just can't see WWE having another change of heart about him. That's my opinion, at least.

I was so surprised that WWE didn't capitalise on his feud with Orton. He was so over and the fans clearly accepted him as a maineventer yet when he was moved to Smackdown reasonably soon after that he was right back in the midcard. I had assumed that his best place to become champion was on Smackdown since they do give more opportunities to the newer stars yet in the end they have overlooked him. If Smackdown loses a couple of stars this year to retirement then I think that he will get his chance. I assume that he will be in the EC match at Elimination Chamber PPV so maybe if he puts in a good performance he may be considered to win the MITB match.
