Two weeks ago on RAW Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston teamed together and defeated the WWE tag team champions Otunga & McGillicutty in a non-title match. Then last week on RAW Bourne & Kingston had a tag team title match where they won the tag team titles. Now it looks like they will become a permanent fixture in the tag team division, at least for the near future.

What do you think of the team of Bourne & Kingston?
Do you like them as tag team champions?
How long do you think they will remain as a team for.

Also on Twitter they mentioned that they were looking for a name for the team and in an article on wwe.com they listed some possibilities.

Flight Club
Dreadlock & Load
Boom Raiders
The Wing Men
The Boom Squad
The Kingston Duo
Fly Guys
The Bourne Supremacy
Altitude Era
The Legion of Boom

Of those listed Flight Club and Altitude Era are the standouts in my opinion. What name do you prefer in that list or do you have a better name for them?

I prefer no name. Having a name is too gimmick-y, not to mention why would you want to label yourself?

For a tag team a name is a must otherwise they are just two random singles wrestlers paired together. It adds more credibility in my view if they actually put some effort into making them a team.

What do you think of the team of Bourne & Kingston? Very good team, great pairing too. Neither have anything going on, both are high-flyers, so it makes sense.

Do you like them as tag team champions? I don't like them having just one match before getting a title shot, regardless of who they beat. Just goes to show the WWE still have a long way to go until they can book the Division properly. Putting that aside, I like them as champions, but mainly due to Bourne getting some gold.

How long do you think they will remain as a team for? If the WWE really want to rebuild the division properly, they'll keep these two together for a while. Having them team for a few months would just label them as a team that has been thrown together, won the titles, lost them, then go their seperate ways. What I mean by a while is something like a year, really getting them over as a team and assisting in rebuilding a lame division.

As for the team name, I'm kinda with PuNk on this one. Those names are lame and are just aspects of each Superstar thrown together. Too gimmicky for me considering they were never brought in as a tag team.

Could not agree more on that one, and why did they not face the champions at NOC instead? I guess it could work for both men as stop gap, not least Bounre who has been treading water for months, but I don't see it being a long term thing. Once again lazy booking, and I say they will keep the belts three or four months tops.

Yeah. What they were doing with Bourne was weird. Like every time he got close to main event something happened or he was forgotten.

You do not need a name to be credible you just need to be really good at what you do. That is credible. Glad Bourne did get some gold, but a name is not necessary. I mean the majority of those names are just parodies on recent things. Flight Club has a connotation of the Mile High Club, if you like that then you like Kingston and Bourne getting it on.

Flight Club is like Fight Club. Not sure how Flight translates to Mile High, it is much simpler than that. Just remove one letter to give the name of a cult film. Obviously what happens in the ring and in promos matters the most but a name helps add to the fact that they are now a team and not two singles wrestlers who have been thrown together.

I agree that the title shot should have occured at Night of Champions rather than on RAW. It would have made more sense and it would have added a bit more to the PPV if the title change occured there.

Because those who join the Mile High CLUB do it on a FLIGHT?
Not that much of a leap... C'mon Troy we both know you are reasonably intelligent use some critical thinking.

But when I hear Flight Club I don't think Mile High, I right away think Fight Club. That is clearly what they are aiming at and I am sure most people automatically think Fight Club and not that Kofi and Bourne are getting it on backstage.

In the end the name chosen was Air Boom.

I like Air Boom, it's a good play on their names and gimmicks. Also, tag teams SHOULD have names, that's what makes them feel like a team. If you want to rebuild a division that is centered around teams, the champions should have a team name.

As far as the actual team goes, I like it. Neither really had anything going, but had just recently been featured pretty good on TV. This keeps them on TV in important roles and gives name recognition to the tag team division.

The promo they cut tonight was brilliant, Bourne is such a natural.

Have them cut more promos, they got charisma.

I was happy to see them being used on Smackdown. I look forward to seeing the promo because from what I read they continue to say how glad they are to be champions and listed off numerous other champion tag teams. It sounds like WWE are really trying to promote the division and at least make the champions seem really important.

The promo they cut was brilliant, references used from the old days of Tag Teams and they said they'd relive it and make it better.

I see hopes for the Tag Division here.
