Synopsis
Revolution takes place in a post-apocalyptic dystopian future. Fifteen years earlier, an unknown phenomenon disabled all technology dependent on electricity on the planet, ranging from computers and electronics to car engines, jet engines, and batteries. People were forced to adapt to a world without functioning technology. Due to the collapse of government and public order, many areas are ruled by warlords and militias. The series focuses on the Matheson family, who possess a special device (resembling a flash drive) that is the key to not only finding out what happened fifteen years ago, but also a possible way to reverse its effects. However, they must elude Sebastian Monroe the General and President of the Monroe Militia who wants to possess that power for himself.

Opening Introduction:
“ We lived in an electric world. We relied on it for everything. And then the power went out. Everything stopped working. We weren't prepared. Fear and confusion led to panic. The lucky ones made it out of the cities. The government collapsed. Militias took over, controlling the food supply and stockpiling weapons. We still don't know why the power went out. But we're hopeful someone will come and light the way.

Now historically sci fi shows on the Big Networks NBC CBS ABC do horrible and don't make it past the first year. I've seen a few episodes of this show and while I love the premise I think it's really predictable. I'd also still love to see it succeed. 1. Because I have an intern lined up to work on the show if it makes it to season 2 2. See reason 1.

Has anyone else seen it have thoughts? Anyone think a scifi show can do well on a major network without being plauged with ratings issues?

I've watched it mainly because JJ Abrams is involved as a producer.

So far the show is ok, it's really similar to Lost in terms of the way the story is presented There's some sub par acting though, but besides that I'm interested in it enough to continue watching it.

Seen trailers quite a bit on TV before it started and I have heard of the show of course but never got around to watching it. Dunno if I should. It looked interesting to me and what not but then once 1 or 2 eps aired I started to hear some pretty negative reviews about it.

I watched the first episode, but since I watch Boardwalk Empires on Mondays(Hell on Wheels does not repeat through the week) I have had to skip the last 2 episodes due to late starts(HBO likes to start at 9:05-9:15).

The premis is awesome, not going to lie. Reminds me alot of zombie films & Fallout games(minus the hoards of undead & nuclear attack) where civilization has turned in on itself, and the best & worst of humanity is brought out.

I might try to catch the rest of the season durring repeats, but I didnt enjoy it enough to pay for the dvds.

One question I still ask, if the power went out everywhere, why did the airplanes lights stay on when they fell to the ground?

This comes back tonight. Show has actually been really solid with the first half of season 2 really taking a interesting approach with a new storyline.

I was really into this show for the first season. I honestly can't even remember what's happened so far in the second. Felt like in the first season it was must see. Second season was meh if you have time.

First season was good it was campy and had the dad from twilight. Second city has great pacing and way more effort put into developing a smaller cast of characters doing fewer things. Much more better now. Seems like a strange show for a big network though, not sure how long it will stay on the air. For fans of CSI and Godzilla films.

Feels more like a Syfy show.

Love this show! Enjoyed the first season a lot but the second season has just got better for me, originally watched because Gus from Breaking Bad was in it.

Giancarlo Esposito reallly does kill it in this show in the roll of Nevile easily my favorite character. Best part about the second season is there's a focus and just a ton of mystery around what the US government is really up to with the who Illuminati connection
