I'm not sure where to post this since it's mostly all wrestling but pretty interesting stat. I'm sure a decent amount of people on here were huge or still are ROH fans. You want to hear a pretty awesome stat right now based on the guys coming from ROH, well here it is.

CM Punk- WWE Champion
Daniel Bryan- Tag Team Champion
Antonio Cesaro- U.S Champion
Seth Rollins- NXT champion
Austin Aries- TNA Heavyweight Champion
Samoa Joe- TV champion

How awesome is that crop right there. Other than the other guy who's turning heads in NXT that's from ROH in Ohno, it's really impressive how all of these guys are champions at the moment. Its pretty awesome to see a great crop of wrestlers from the same place become champions in major or half major wrestling companies. What are your thoughts about these respective title holders and how interesting it is.

Cork's reaction to this post is already here. Punk can't draw ratings I hate him. Bryan is a vanilla midget, I hate him. Cesaro is another lame vanilla ROH wrestler I hate him. Rollins has stupid hair, I hate him. Aries is another Punk, I hate him. Joe is too fat, I hate him.

It's an awesome list that makes me actually believe following wrestling during this last decade was actually worth it. I didn't even notice this but I also didn't know Samoa Joe was now TV Champion. I guess that happened on Impact last night. I can't wait to see that, I just won't mark as much now.

Cork's kinda funny calling Daniel Bryan a vanilla midget when Shawn Michaels was a vanilla midget... He's just like Nash in that sense, can't say one thing about one wrestler and not to another.

As for Wrestling matters, Joe, Daniel Bryan, Aries & Ceasaro all have pretty good mic skills, Ceasaro being the best, then Aries then Joe, and finally Bryan. Punk has been awful on the microphone since his like October, been very dry listening to CM Punk since his worked shootiness. It's not so much the RoH are there because they are great wrestlers, it's more, most RoH seem to have some sense of mic skills, but out of the current RoH stable, only really Kevin Steen stands out for a guy who can work the crowd.

I'm still a big fan of Punk's mic skills. This is pretty awesome. I'd love to see a stable out of the WWE guys right now who came from ROH. That would be pretty epic.

Punk hit a pretty big stale point from December to July. Last month or so, he's been incredible. I think you are being a bit harsh EOR but nobody can deny Punk hit a dry point. Also forgot to mention that Christopher Daniels is a tag team champion right now and he's from ROH as well. Props to Daniels even if he's old, I enjoy his work.

I'm sure you could have done the same thing in the 80s with some indy fed like Smokey Mountain Wrestling or AWA NWA. I mean what does this prove that Indy wrestlers become TV champs? Nothing new to see here.

I bet a list of failed former football stars would draw a better list. Rock, Goldberg & Lesnar to name just three.

This isn't a dig at the op, but frankly I couldn't give a shit where they came from. Doesn't matter if they came from ROH, FCW, a failed football career or the grocery store so long as they entertain me.

Ugh gonna refrain from starting an argument with EOR since it'll highjack the thread despite disagreeing with it wholeheartedly about Punk's mic skills. Especially after his mic display from this past Monday which was amazing.

Anyways kind of cool to see guys who were in ROH doing well after people thought indy guys couldn't succeed in WWE which is silly considering the point Primetime just made. Everybody starts somewhere and can end up somewhere bigger if they have the ability to do so.

It is impressive that so many former ROH stars are champions at the same time in WWE and TNA. Especially since most of that list were written off as guys that couldn't make it because of their size and style, namely Punk, Bryan and Aries. It shows that in the end the cream will rise to the top no matter what obstacles are in place.

ROH played a huge part in wrestling in the last ten years, I don't know how anyone can deny that. It was the peak of independent professional wrestling, I can never see the days of Joe, Punk etc. in ROH again. Independent wrestling is under the radar a lot nowadays, the majority of wrestlers that can be moulded into a star are picked up before they hit their prime either by NJPW, AJPW, TNA or WWE. This means that because ROH are never going to have a fully primed roster of characters they have to either use rejects from the majors or wrestlers that are under developed.

Failing to see how this is awesome, it's more an example of how mediocre wrestling is nowdays that these no marks are main guys.

For the record, I can 'get' why Punk and Aries are title-holders, the rest I simply can't understand.

Because they are talented both in the ring and on the mic? I honestly don't see your logic in hating on these wrestlers. Your only response to any of these threads is they are vanilla midgets.

I think it's great to see. I don't know why WWE were so hesitant to push well known indie guys in the first place, but it's good to see that they're giving them a chance now.

It also goes to show that having people who've wrestled around the world gaining experience is a lot better than picking wrestlers who've been in developmental for a few years.

This is an interesting statistic for sure, but I really don't think it means that much. Like others have said, they have to come from somewhere.
