I don't think they will either but it is strange how he closed the show staring down Punk. It has to lead somewhere and if he doesn't end up siding with Punk and Heyman than a match is the most likely option. Would be better if they saved that for a few months down the line so that he can continue to build his streak and Punk can continue to head towards a year with the title.

Ryback as Punk's enforcer would be preferable, and would actually give Ryback some sort of a character that isnt Goldberg V2.0. Also the "Dangerous Alliance" would benefit heavily from having the WWE & (future) Intercontinental champions, throw in Rhodes Schollars and you would have a stable that would actually be seen as a threat. Even have them take out heel & face alike, all they want to do is prove they are the best.

I'm not saying they should forget the ending of RAW, but right now I wouldn't act on the staredown because it's just not the time. Build it for months on end, now and again have them bump into one another in a hallway in a backstage segment where they stare down and then walk past each other. Same thing again but maybe Punk can be berating AJ in her office and Ryback walks in. Just simple stuff that's building to something without them feuding yet.

That's how I'd do it too, not having Ryback jump in right away. Even with the short build-up aside, its the same mistake they make with Tensai. He should show up and haunt Punk just enough so Punk knows Ryback is getting hungrier and has eyes on him.

Looking back at the Cena/Punk promo he kind of foreshadowed it saying he bets there is some young hungry guys chomping at the bit to get a piece of him. Had me thinking if there is a chance they might push other guys who haven't got a shot at him encounter him week after week teasing matches.

It might be a personal feud, as in not for the title.

If memory serves, Punk did sit back and watch Randy Orton punt him in the skull a year and half back.

^ That would require WWE acknowledging that Ryback existed as Skip Sheffield, which in turns admit they failed... which they will never ever do. This is going to be complete new territory here, I have a feeling we might get the swerve and have Ryback on the Punk and Heyman team... hey, you never know.

I agree guessed that in the RAW live thread. I could easily see it going that since Brock has "quit" and Punk was so close to failure he hired Ryback as protection.

I thought the little segment at the end of RAW this week was quite interesting and it leaves us with a lot of questions as to why WWE done this. Will they give Ryback a title shot? Will he be joining CM Punk and Paul Heyman to create another stable? Or is there another reason? I don't believe Ryback is ready for a title shot, he isn't that over yet with the fans. Next year will be Ryback's year. As for possibly joining Punk and Heyman I really hope this is not the case. All of Punk's stables haven't really lasted long and it's something WWE just can't do well. In my opinion Ryback should continue the way he is and for WWE then to review where he and his gimmick is early next year so they can look at pushing him into the title picture.

So there's a saying that often the best works are a shoot. The idea that these characters have something to do with the real life wrestlers and their lives making them more convincing or more connected and invested in their characters makes sense.

I totally see where "Feed me more!" comes from now:
