If the intent is to keep the winning streak going and put the title on Ryback, I would not have minded them unleashing this as a sort of surprise on the next PPV. That seems to be part of the Ryback gimmick is sending guys out for matches with no idea that Ryback is coming down to destroy them. Could have been a fun surprise had they booked Miz in a IC title defense for the next PPV, kayfabed a serious injury with his intended opponent on the RAW before, then have Ryback show at the PPV.

Course that's shades of Ultimate Warrior booking from SummerSlam long ago. But what the heck, they're doing the whole Goldberg gimmick here too.

Could have gone with a big, one sided match. Miz goes on the next RAW and talks about how unprepared he was, how unfair that match was. Book rematches and for the next 6 weeks on and off TV with longer matches.

The way it's booked now, I'd love to see Miz somehow end up keeping the title. At least at the next PPV.

I can see them having a match for HITC but Miz gets himself DQ'ed to retain. If this is a long term thing it would make most sense to keep having Miz find a way to retain without winning the match until they get a no dq type of match where Ryback takes it.

Was thinking the same thing PHX.... Miz continuously retaining via DQ, countout, outside interference, etc... would continue to build Miz as a top heel while not weakening Ryback's monster push..... Leads to Survivor Series where Ryback can go over clean and Miz can move on to a World Heavyweight championship program (since I'm sure the WWE title will be Punk/Cena/Rock through January at least)

I like the idea of a DQ finish to ensure that the streak remains intact but Miz still walks out with the title. Would be a good way to extend the feud and allow it to drag out for three PPVs if they really wanted which would give Miz plenty of time to work with Ryback.

A DQ finish would be good. As long as Ryback gets the belt eventually, as I have grown to really like him. I honestly don't see WWE giving Miz a World title shot any time soon though, but that doesn't bother me, just so long as he gets into a major feud with a bigger name.

Yeah Ryback would definitely need to win the title by the end of the feud but delaying it by one match would be a worthwhile thing to do. In theory it should get more fans behind Ryback if Miz screws him out of the title. With Miz, the mainevent scene on RAW is so bare that he will be back in the title scene within six months.

I'm also glad that the Miz agreed to do a program with Ryback, wasn't it reported that a lot of the WWE talent were worried to do anything with him?

As long as Ryback walks out with the title, I'm happy. I could see them going the Ultimate Warrior rout and have him win the IC title, destroy all challengers, get bored, and go for the world title while still being IC champion. That way WWE can take Warriors record as being the only superstar to hold both WWE and IC at the same time and give it to Ryback as well. Seeing as they like taking blows at Warrior when they can.

Like the idea of this feud. I do think the DQ finish in their first encounter makes sense as Miz is the right guy to have the cowardly type finish and it could help Ryback with the fans.

This has match of the night written all over it for me. I'm not a big fan of Stiffback, and I'm sure he'll win
but the Miz will most likely make him and the match look like a million bucks.

As far as Ryberg's streak goes, the WWE seems bent on breaking records this year; with the first MITB loss,
the eighth longest WWE title reign (I think they're actually going to have him jump a few more spots),
The third longest WHC reign (I think they're going to have him go all the way), so following the trends, Rhyback
will break Goldberg's streak.

I think Ryback will suffer his first loss at the hands of the Miz. They have to get past that winning streak thing, Ryback would benefit from it. Make him chase the title.

Which is why a couple wins via DQ would be perfect, he doesn't look weak, and keeps the winning streak. The fans are loving that he's undefeated, I don't think it should be taken away right now.

Right now, Ryberg doesn't have any sort of character going for him other than being undefeated. Keep the streak going while he develops more of a character then have his first loss actually mean something and to a better name than The Miz of all people.

If you haven't seen RAW then look away now.

Huge night on RAW for Ryback, first of all he beats Miz clean in a quick match. It was a non-title match but this normally means that he will get an IC title shot soon, most likely at HIAC. Then to close RAW tonight CM Punk attacked Foley backstage only for him to stop when confronted by Ryback. We don't know if Ryback is working with or against Punk but it is an intriguing development. Huge opportunity for him to work with someone like Punk and it shows that WWE have a lot of faith in Ryback.

Doubt they are gonna go that route already but think it will be what they go with down the line however. Wouldn't be smart to just throw him into the title picture like this already.
