Angle Says He & Hardy Can Match 'Taker/HHH, Post-PPV Status

During a recent interview conducted for The Associated Press, which is available over at Sports.Yahoo.com, TNA Impact Wrestling star Kurt Angle had the following to say about his Lockdown match with Jeff Hardy and his post-Lockdown TNA plans:

"I'm going to see how I feel. I don't plan on taking any time off. In pro wrestling, you can work around your injuries and still have a great, awesome match. But this cage match is very dangerous. I am facing Jeff Hardy. He's a high flyer. We're going to do a lot of crazy stuff in this match.

I pray to God I don't further injure my injuries anymore. But I am brave enough, and maybe I'm stupid, but I want the fans to say, 'That was the best match I saw all year.' That's hard to say when you have Triple H and Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match. But Jeff Hardy and I are capable of having just as good of a match as Undertaker and Triple H."

Stop drinking that alcohol Angle, it makes you say stupid things. Taker and HHH are bigger than both of them and have better chemistry than both of them and can put on a much better story. But hey, if thats not the attitude every wrestler has then I would not be bothered watching them. (I wouldn't pay to watch a bad company like TNA anyway)

There is no way this can be the match of the year well at least not in my mind. Instead of working off their last match which was a normal back and forth match I think they will just go overboard. It's just unfortunate that what people call their best matches together is that they all have that overboard factor.

I don't think there is anything wrong with Angle hyping this match, though. What is he going to say? That it's going to suck? Of course he's going to put it over and the hot, fresh match from Mania had to take a shot for this. We all know just on pure emotion alone it won't compare.

Taker/HHH isn't the best match so far to me this year but that said Jeff/Angle will be the same match it was the last few times they face each other and it was a average match that was trying so hard to be "epic"

I still think that this match will be pretty good, despite what some people are saying, but no, not as good as HHH/Taker. Don't see the point in Angle saying it would be better than HIAC though, much better ways to hype it than that.

TNA fans love spotfest's wouldn't be shocked if people love this match because that is what he is going to be. Personally I don't mind the occasional spotfest and finisher marathon either but it's done way too often.
