Mike Tyson: "I Would Like To Be a Wrestler"

During a recent interview conducted for Power Slam, WWE Hall of Famer Mike Tyson had the following to say when asked if he still watches wrestling:

"I don't watch it as much as I used to—but it's not the same as it was; they don't have the same guys. But Triple H is coming back, the WWE is coming back, and I'd like to do whatever I can to be a part of that, to help them in any way I can. I would like to be a wrestler."

I would actually be interested in seeing him try as he is till athletic and tough. If he was serious WWE would and should take a look at it because unlike Mayweather who has said the same thing, his boxing career is all but truly over.

What are your thoughts on Tyson trying?

I'm for it actually he'd lend lots of publicity for awhile at least. He genuinely likes the product he has the physique so if he could learn what he needs in ring then I say let him go for it.

Eh don't really have much interest in seeing him in the ring as a wrestler. Don't really see what he could bring to the table at this stage of his life.

I want to see someone make fun of his voice and then boom, he slips up and stiffs them a real punch for the lulz

I'm not really liking this to be honest. I love Tyson and all, but I just don't think he could pull it off.

I hope to christ that this piece of crap doesn't start wrestling in the WWE. The locker room will have another thing to complain about, especially since he will be stealing the spot light from actual wrestlers that have busted there ass to get to where they are at.

Pretty much this. Not to mention the guy would likely be protected and pushed to high heaven given his celebrity status. Anything other than an actual wrestling match I may be ok with.

As a guest one off match maybe. Think he is too past his prime to do it now though. 10-15 years ago absolutely but their was still money in Boxing at the time.
