The Athletic Commission's released some more info on Overeem, i guess he has the testosterone of 14 grown men.

Theres a growing campaign to get Mark Hunt the main event shot.

He's 38, fat, and has an 8-7 MMA record lol.

Yeah, fair enough hes been on a roll but this would be a massive (and undeserved) shot which should obviously go to Frank Mir.

Yeah Hunt + Fedor everybody wants to see fight JDS. Obvious choice is Mir, but I bet Dana screws me over and doesn't give me my dream fight.

Dont see any other way tbh, cant give it to Cain because he already got starched in the first round less than 6 months ago, Werdum only beat Roy Nelson, and the rest aren't legit contenders IMO.

Mir has a great chance against JDS, never seen Dos Santos on the ground but I'm guessing he'd be like a fish out of water and Mir would tap him fast. Only worry is Mir thinking his stand up is legit, when hes a really shit kickboxer and would get banged out if he dared try and trade.

WAR FRANK MIR

Hopefully Dana announces this shit soon.

Frank Mir is going to become the first 3X UFC Heavyweight Champion in UFC history. Going to solidify his greatness.

Kind of wish we had the chance to see a Lesnar vs. Mir III before Brock retired.

Also i just seen this on Chael's twitter, his thoughts on Overeem

"I'm shocked," Sonnen wrote on his Twitter account. "He has the body fat of a tooth brush, looks like the guy on STREET FIGHTER. My mind is blown, just blown."

JDS is actually a brown belt in bjj so he wouldn't be that bad on the ground... but he would still be outclassed. But on the feet he would KO Mir.

Dana White Says Frank Mir Vs. Cain Velasquez Will Happen, Overeem's replacement still unknown.

Since the news that Alistair Overeem tested positive for elevated testosterone, turning in a sample with a 14:1 ratio (Nevada allows as high as 6:1), the questions over who would replace Overeem after the inevitable suspension have been constant. With one of the more unrealistic options falling out as possibilities with Fedor Emelianenko's camp announcing that he now has a fight scheduled for June in Russia, the most obvious choice for a replacement seemed to remain Frank Mir.

Mir was scheduled to fight Cain Velasquez on the same UFC 146 card that was supposed to see Alistair Overeem challenge Junior dos Santos for the UFC heavyweight title, so it would be an easy switch to make.

But now Dana White has shot down that idea on Twitter:

jim barnard @danawhite please dont break up the mir/cain fight i really wanna see these guys bang, could be a really great fight

Dana's response

@jimbefc Mir vs Cain will happen thats not changing

I knew Dana would fuck it up for me, If it's not MIR (AS IT SHOULD BE) Then who the hell is it?

It still makes perfect sense to me. It was supposed to be a number one contender fight. Why break that up?

Yeah Mir has been winning but let's look at it. Since his loss to Carwin he had a DULL DULL DULL DULL DULL fight against Mirko Cro Cop that really really sucked. He fought Big Country and that fight wasn't that good either. Then he had his fight with Big Nog where he snapped his arm which was a pretty good fight. He's stringing wins but it isn't enough. Plus a fight against Cain would show where Mir really is. And like I said earlier... changing it would throw so many things off for the fighters it just wouldn't be worth it. Cain is more a wrestler which is what Mir has been training most likely where as JDS is a striker primarily which is what he was training for against Overeem but... yeah

This was the right decision. Instead of shuffling around the whole card cause Overeem was an idiot we keep majority of everything the same.

The Nevada Athletic Commission is going to have a meeting on April 24th with Overeem to decide his fate. Likely won't hear anything on any replacement until then.

If not Mir, I really have no idea who is going to face JDS, guess they could feed him someone like Hunt or Struve, granted there not up there yet but based on where people stand there the only ones not tied up with other fights.

Unless they are hoping Reem wins an appeal, I don't get this at all.

Theres nobody better than Mir you can fit in that slot, maybe Josh Barnett but it makes a sham of the 2 year long Grand Prix they did to not have a final. Hendo has fought at HW against Fedor (albeit a catchweight) so I wouldn't mind him at all, but don't see that happening either.
