Looks like the 1989 film No Holds Barred, starring Hulk Hogan and Zeus, will be making its way out of WWE’s video vault and on to DVD for the first time ever.

According to this flyer being bundled with recent WWEShop orders, the movie will be released through WWE Studios on July 3rd, 2012.

That joins other projects in the works through to 2013 – The Day, Barricade, No One Lives (featuring Brodus Clay), and The Marine 3: Homefront (rumored to be starring Randy Orton).

Speaking of WWE Studios, their latest offering Bending The Rules (starring Edge) was released yesterday on DVD and Blu-ray at Walmart stores across the US.

Damn, WWE just trying to make money from movies they've made but why wouldn't they if it would of cost them back in '89 a decent amount to make it. Why was it never released on DVD? I probably won't check it out but I might check out The Marine 3 out of these releases.

The movie debuted at #2, behind Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, with $4,957,052 in ticket sales.[1] Hogan writes in his autobiography the budget was about eight million dollars.[2] Vince McMahon, who financed the movie, more or less broke even because of distribution fees. The final tally was $16,093,651 in ticket sales.

If it'd been on DVD the entire time he'd made profit on it already and have been able to do a 25th anniversary edition.

Dunno No Holds Barred wasn't bad it was on par with other movies of its type I'm looking at you Over the Top :side: wonder if that means Blu ray as well? I'd buy it if it was priced appropriately.

Surely WWE will price it at around $10, I can't see many people shelling out $20 for a movie this old that wasn't highly rated. If it is cheap enough I may check it out because it may be so bad that it is good.

I feel as though I'm the only one who loves terrible movies. :D

I'm also interested in that No One Lives movie, with Brodus Clay. Wonder what's up with that.

No Holds Barred was a classic.

Deserves the DVD treatment. Now all I need now is Suburban Commando.

Now that is a good cover, much better than the old school home video cover. Not too long to wait for the DVD but as I said earlier I will wait and see how much they charge for this.
