Very happy that they are doing Primetime for this, it is a massive fight and deserves the extra special treatment.

Rashad has beaten four good opponents since he dropped the title so it is good seeing him get his title shot to finally settle this feud. Still think Jones will finish him.

UFC.com just interviewed Lightheavyweight champion Jon Jones, who talks about his plans for Rashad Evans, who is attempting to get back the title, after the two 'divorced' last year as Rashad left Jackson's MMA.

"Jealousy fuels Rashad, to some degree," said Jones." I think it's safe to say, ya absolutely, absolutely safe to say. I think it's very weak emotionally on his part. That's why I can't wait for this fight to be over. I have no problem with him. Right now, I have my kids, I have my girl, we have our place together, I'm following my dreams, I'm doing the right things in life, I'm on the right track.

"Rashad is the one who looks at this whole story like, this guy's went off and created his own team and he's left the people who were there for him in the beginning. He's the one who is going through this whirlwind in life right now. And I just can't wait to put him out of his misery, and solidify me being the light heavyweight champion, and then telling him to go have a seat somewhere.

"I'm a completely different fighter since the time he held me down in practice. It's just night and day. He's truly picking a fight with my past. I think when he gets out there he's going to realize there's different combinations, there's different size and strength, there's a whole different kid out there that he's against.

"To finish this fight is one of my goals for 2012, whether it is by knockout or submission, I'm not going to put a title on it. I realize when people are struggling for knockouts, that's when you don't get a knockout. If you are looking for a submission the whole time, that's when you don't get a submission.

"So I'm going to go out there and have fun. I'm going to play the game that I love so much, and that I've dedicated my whole life to.

"And whether me or Rashad become friends again in the future, only God knows. One thing that is inevitable is respect. Once you go out there and put it on the line, there will be respect.

Seriously, can't wait for Jones/Evans. Other than Chael/Anderson I'm looking forward most to this fight this year.

It is going to be good. I hope that Jones is able to finish him so that it shuts Evans up a bit.

Rashad is over here in Birmingham 2 weeks after this as part of some fan expo.

I hope to get him to to the stanky leg dance and post the vid on here.

The under card is just okay, but that main event has the potential to be absolutely ridiculous. I have a lot of respect for Jones for coming up so quickly and fighting so hard but sometimes he's such a cocky jerk that I really want Evans to give him a beat down and prove to him that he's not invincible. I agree with the fact that Evans got too upset over Jones saying he'd fight him, but I still want to see Evans beat Jones. Realistically though, I still see Jones beating Evans cause only a fool would deny that he's pretty much #2 P4P in the world.

Yeah Evan's overreacted to the comments that Jones made awhile back but to be honest, the fight was pretty much inevitable they we're likely going to have to cross paths eventually. Agreed about him being a P4P as well.

Also Rashad and Jones were going back and forth on Twitter a few days ago and Evans tweeted this picture of Jones dressed in drag.

It's the same story with all of the Black House fighters though. Back before Machida started losing, whenever people asked him if he'd ever consider dropping and fighting Silva, it was like blasphemy because they're from the same team. I mean, I get having alliances, but this is a professional sport and to me, if you have to fight a friend, you have to fight a friend especially when your the #1 and #2 fighters in the same weight class like Jones and Evans. You're absolutely right, this fight was inevitable. It was going to happen anyway and Jones was just being a professional in saying that he'd fight Evans and Evans took it the wrong way and now it's gotten personal. It'll definitely make for a great fight though.

As for that picture... that is pretty hilarious.

This month long break has been a bit ridiculous by UFC considering before the break they had shows in consecutive weeks and right after the break we will again see shows in consecutive weeks. I just want this show to happen because it has dragged out too long.
