WWE and SyFy will present a live Smackdown on Tuesday, February 21, with an encore airing in its usual time slot on Friday, February 24. This particular show will air from the MetroCentre in Rockford, Illinois, and it will be third live Smackdown on SyFy since the show moved to cable television. The first two shows were a ratings success and the last live Smackdown in August of last year became Syfy’s top Smackdown telecast ever among Adults 18-49 with 1.64 million viewers.

I haven't been watching Smackdown as of late as nothing is interesting on there apart from Daniel Bryan, but I will most likely give the show a watch since it's live.

Nice. Should be good! So that's EC on Sunday, RAW on Monday then SmackDown on Tuesday? Awesome.

CM Punk To Appear on Live SD!
The official website of the BMO Harris Bank Center, which will host the 2/21 live edition of WWE Smackdown, is listing CM Punk to appear as a special guest.

Urgh, please don't fill it with RAW guys and give us a false rating.

I can see Punk appearing because Sheamus will announce on RAW that he'll make his announcement on who he's facing on a special live edition of SmackDown.

Hoping this is a good show.

The last Live Smackdown was quite good, just hope this one is good.

Good to see WWE and SyFy doing these quite regularly. It boosts the rating each time and they should try to run around four spread out evenly during the year. This is the first Smackdown after Elimination Chamber PPV so we should see Sheamus announce what title he wants to challenge for. Plus we may hear some more about other matches at WM28. It would be great to see The Rock on this show, if they advertise it ahead of time, just to see how high a rating they can get.

That was my thought exactly, but then I read that there's going to be a world title match.. So now I'm starting to wonder if maybe if Sheamus is going to pick him.

Either way I'm looking forwar to seeing another live Smackdown, as they always deliver much more than a regular show.

WWE To Broadcast Another Live Super Smackdown In April
According to the official site of The Hamptons Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia, WWE will be broadcasting another Live Super Smackdown show on April 10th. The following is being advertised for the show:

-Daniel Bryan (c) vs Big Show in a No DQ, No Countout match for the World Title

-Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett in a Street Fight

You can check out more details by clicking on the above link.

They should just starting showing it live every Tuesday already, I think they will by the end of this year.

The problem with going live every single week for Smackdown is it costs a lot more to run. If WWE in general starts to become a lot more popular and they have a lot more mainevent stars then I can see them trialing it for a couple of months. But with everything the way it is now I can't see it happening.

They haven't got down when to do commercials on these SyFy live shows so just keep that in mind when watching.

Stewart McAloney sent word that Tuesday's Live Smackdown will be shown live in the UK as well at 1am Tuesday night/Wednesday morning on Sky Sports 3 and is listed on Sky Planner as WWE Late Night Smackdown.
