Some general thoughts I've had recently as I've been getting back into the swing of things and getting caught up:
I head Del Rio was a bit of dick to Paige which upsets me. She's not blameless in the situation, but publicly talking about people's mental health struggles pisses me off. I still like his character and his in-ring talent, but damn.
The Fiend is super edgy and cool. I was pretty meh on Bray originally, but that lantern is badass and so was his custom title. I hope that character sticks around, but the only horror characters to every stick around have been Taker and Kane so I guess we'll see.
I wonder if Cena will return. I hope he does cause I kinda miss him. Call me a 10 year old but I hope he gets one more title to break the Flair record before he retires. I also sincerely doubt a heel turn is in the cards, as it would probably turn off the kids, one of WWE's strongest markets.
Sucks that Y2J is now blackballed from WWE, but AEW is pretty cool. Watched the recording I set, and I enjoyed it. However, I think wrestling is better in general for the fans when all the guys and girls, newer and veteran, unite around one company.
I love the resurgence of the women's division. I still watched WM every year even when I didn't follow wrestling faithfully, but I'm glad Ronda is gone. Never liked her in MMA, didn't like her coming to WWE. Guessing from her recent interview that she always though WWE was below her.
I was watching wrestling when Punk was a thing, but as a middle schooler who was essentially a Cena mark, I hated him and his long ass title reign. But now, watching his promos and matches, I understand why everyone loved him and have developed somewhat of an affinity myself. But, I seriously doubt he ever comes back, and idk if I even want him back cause he'd just take over everything all over again.
Anyways, just wanted to share some of my thoughts.
