I have recently gotten back into TNA as I wanted to see how they are pushing Roode and Storm. I have to admit, I am a bit suprised. I feel like they have done a good job on bringing the two men up to main event status. Sure, their are things I would have done differently but nothing is perfect. Roode has been a solid World Champion the past few months and is starting to bring prestige back to the TNA World Title. Storm had his short run with it, which I feel was pointless, but like I said nothing is perfect. Both Roode and Storm have a ton of talent, both in the ring and on the stick. So in your opinion, between these two men, who do you see more potential in?

This isn't really asking which one will be more successful in TNA but more as if, if you were running things which one would you push more because you thought they had more talent between the two

I like both of these men, generally very well. I see an ass load of potential in both men and they could both become top stars in professional wrestling as a whole, not just TNA. I see a ton of potential in James Storm as a badass cowboy who whips everyone in his way, but I have to say Bobby Roode has more potential. He plays the heel with ease and always has great matches, not that Storm doesn't. It was hard to pick between these two but I see more potential in Roode and if I had to pick between these two men on who would be the top guy in my company, I would say Bobby Roode, barely over Storm.

I think Storm has a lot of potential as the Company's top face. He has a ton of marketability and with TNA mostly based in the South, the Cowboy gimmick works. With that said been a big fan of Roode for years and he belongs there as well.

Not that high on Roode myself, think hes too generic.

Storm has tons of charisma and is a decent wrestler for his size.

I'm sure some of you know a guy named Vita, complete legend from back in the day what feels like years ago. He played an e-fed character of James Storm, the former TNA World Champion... before the guy was anything really special. Not only did he play the character well, he took Storm to heights that seemed impossible at the time for the real life guy. It was phenomenal, and it changed my opinion of James Storm himself, as a character that could be taken seriously in the World title picture. I've had plenty of battles with Storm, including one that was supposed to take place at UCW Wrestlemania. Instead, we faced the following year and had an all out war that I'll remember for a long time. It's why I'll always respect the Cowboy James Storm, and really hope he continues to have a great career. It's those types of fantasy games that truly bring out the character in a professional wrestler, as I'm sure some of these forum members can easily relate to. Like Itchweed's CM Punk, and Justin Maietta's Billy Kidman. And of course, my love for my once own fantasy character... the hall of famer, Edge.

Well if ultimately James Storm dethrones Bobby Roode's reign he should be in a greater position and I think he'll amount to more than Roode at that point. Right now at this pace Roode is turning in a damn little Triple H for TNA they don't fall back to these legends again. As backbone heel the company can rely on for a good few years. I think they both have awesome chances to be huge for TNA(whatever you think huge in TNA is) for a long time. It kind also depends if TNA will drop the ball on one them later and if they will just be replacement fillers for more legends that oh so what to have. Overall, I think Storm being the face after this entity that was pretty much considered one and over with the crowd and a huge victory over a dominent champion he'll be the one on a better path.

When they were a team I always thought that Roode was champion material and that Storm was best left as a tag team wrestler. Now that they have split and both worked soley as singles wrestlers Storm has grown on me. I thought that his gimmick and look wouldn't work as a maineventer but he has proved me wrong. Both guys should be at the top of TNA for years to come and should produce some good battles. If I had to pick one I would still go with Roode because I think that he is immensely talented but Storm isn't far behind. Scott does make a good point about Storm's character appealing to TNA's main fan base in the South.

I have always liked Roode's potential ever since he began the money gimmick. Getting managers in the back of his limo for interviews like Bobby Heenan and so on back in 2006 or 7. I liked his fued with Booker and Eric Young. I believe after Jarrett came back, he wasn't used very good after that so he lost a lot of momentum. I thought he was a respectable main event talent back then til he was just being pushed down the card til they finally put Storm and Roode together. I've gained a lot of respect for Storm over the years. I liked Chris Harris more out of the duo of AMW. Obviously I was wrong who was the better of the two. Him and Jackie were quite a tandem for a while. I like Roode going forward though.

I feel Roode has more potential he makes a great heel and needs that title for a long time, if they play it right whoever he drops the belt to will be top face in the company, storm would perfectly fit this but I feel Roode has more potential and is better in the ring,
