The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that plans have been revealed as to what was supposed to happen in the Smackdown main event when Mark Henry suffered an injury during his match with Big Show on last weeks episode.

Daniel Bryan was supposed to run-in when Mark Henry was down and take out Big Show with a chair. Show was supposed to come back and chokeslam him with Henry then laying out Bryan with a splash.

Bryan did end up coming in and hitting Big Show with a chair, followed by Big Show coming back at Bryan, but Henry was in so much pain he couldn't get up and splash Bryan. In related news, the injuries that Henry has been working through are said to have been one of the main reasons why the Cage match at the Rumble was kept short.

Henry seems very dedicated and props to him for working through this stuff, he is on the biggest role he's ever been for quite some time and not only is he believable as a heel, but his mic skills have become 100x better as well. Hope he heals well and comes back soon.

I just hope he gets right and gets a spot on Mania. He has earned the right to be there. He was probably the breakout star behind only Punk and without a doubt was Mr. SmackDown

I've been loving Henry over the past 6 months as well and I have a lot of respect for working through the injuries. However, they probably should've sent him off before the cage match, or at least in it. He's been handicapping the angle by having matches shortened and plans altered, not to mention a danger to himself.

Nonetheless, I hope he gets back as soon as possible so he can kick ass again.

I'd like him on Raw at some point this year.

1/ Because I don't watch Smackdown.
2/ Because a Cena feud would be good shit.

Sucks that he was injured during the biggest push of his career and that he suffered a second injury whilst working through the first injury. Hopefully he gets healthy soon and is able to get the big payday at WM.

I was never a big Mark Henry fan until about 5 or 6 months ago. He never really got the exposure that he deserved. He is a solid heel, has a solid character, and for a big man he is pretty damn good. He makes his matches look believable which is hard for a lot of big men to do...i.e. Big Slow, The Great Khali. It is a shame that Henry did not get that push before he is about to retire. From what I understand it was his decision to compete at the Rumble. I doubt he will be at Mania if he forced himself to perform at the Rumble. The Rumble is the 2nd largest payday for these wrestlers, and I am thinking if he forced himself at the Rumble to give himself that payday, I doubt he will be at Mania. I do hope he has one more good run in him.

Shame about Henry. I remember watching him win the ECW championship at Night of Champions the night it was in Dallas, and I went fucking nuts. I thought that would be the highest point his career would reach, so I was pretty shocked when he started getting the push he got last year.

I hope he's able to end his career on some kind of high note at least. Highly doubt he'll walk in or out of Wrestlemania as a champion, but hopefully he gets one more run this summer if he doesn't plan on retiring immediately.

Henry is a top guy. Working through all these injuries. However I think it's time he takes a break, he could have one last good run but if he keeps wrestling through injuries he's just gonna fuck it up.
