WWE RAW 23rd January 2012 - LIVE Discussion

[Troy]

The Royal Rumble is less than one week away so expect RAW to focus on promoting the PPV. We already know that Punk will defend his WWE title against Ziggler and last week on RAW Johnny Ace confirmed that he would do all he can to screw Punk out of the title at the PPV. We should see the continuation of this storyline plus Mick Foley should appear to get back at Johnny Ace for what he did to him to close RAW last week.

Chris Jericho tagged himself out of the mainevent tag team match last week on RAW so what is the next stage in his return? What will he do this week to promote his Royal Rumble chances.

John Cena and Kane will continue their build for their PPV match.

Swagger will brag about his US title win over Ryder who wasn't supposed to wrestle because he wasn't medically cleared.

Brodus Clay will dance for us all.

Plus plenty more!

I see Jericho in some sort of backstage segment, I don't think he will wrestle this week at all. Maybe he will do like a hide and seek game where Johnny Laurinaitis is looking for him (Cat & Mouse), this would be of some good.

Kane/Cena needs a match at the Rumble, what matches are even booked?! Announce it already.

Looking forward to Swagger, hopefully a match against Truth or something.

More Rosa Mendes & Brodus Clay = A good RAW.

Kane vs. Cena has already been announced for the Rumble. WWE will probably do pick your poison matches for these two on RAW.

Jericho has to continue his gradual progression this week so he should say a couple of words, maybe "See you at the Rumble".

Swagger vs. Truth would be a good match-up but I wouldn't give it up right away on RAW. They need to build up to a match between them.

Tag Team champions will hopefully be on the show as well against some new opponents.

Will be another decent episode of RAW and I'll be here in the live discussion once again like every other week.

Does anyone think that Mick Foley will run in for the save in the Punk vs Dolph match at the RR? Creating a possible Foley Vs Dolph match at the Elimination Chamber PPV? Or maybe they drag it out till WM For a Dolph vs Foley match.

Foley did it for Orton, Why not Dolph?

And I don't think to much is being made for the RR One on One matches Because I think they want to concentrate the Audience on the actuall Rumble match it's self, and it's winner.

And will SD possibly set an Orton vs Barret match at the RR?

If they do, the odds on favorites to win the RR would be Cody or Sheamus.

Yeah but WWE has done very little to build the Rumble this year. It's mostly been those simple promos from heels declaring they will win.

My cable is out so I won't be watching this week, just a heads up. I'm hoping Jericho actually does some in-ring action, possibly by attacking Punk or something.

I'm calling it, Johnny Ace comes out and demands he speaks if he wants in the Rumble. Jericho says Hi and leaves.

Jericho has gotta troll this do the highlight reel showing clips of his return and him cryin etc and then end highlight reel. lol
