Show was ok, lot's of short fights on the main card, but there was some exciting finishes.

I don't see Jones loosing at 205 for awhile, looking at the guys in the division now, I just don't see anyone with the power to stand with him or work him over on the ground. Might have a nice long Silva like run until he clears out the division.

Yeah the exciting finishes helped a lot, and it's hard to not believe he'll cruise with the title for awhile his next opponent is going to be either Rashad Evans or Phil Davis, i could see him doing an Anderson Silva like reign also.

I'm curious how the live gate was and what not as they normally do great when they go up to Canada.

Man the show was awesome. Korean Zombie winning in 7 seconds was crazy. The fight after that was a snore. But Tito/Lil Nog... that was pretty decent. Sucked to see Tito lose like that. Then the Mir/Big Nog fight. Big Nog had the fight but he didn't secure the choke on good enough. And when you are on the ground with Mir... you either get the hold in properly or you let go and get up. Mir will catch you and he will hold you in until either you tap or it breaks and the ref makes the stop... and in this case we had the latter. Big Nog wasn't going to tap until it broke. I mean look at the fight that Hughes had with Royce... Royce wouldn't tap for anything even though he had him in that armbar and it was lookin real bad.

But yeah... Mir did what he had to do, he did it right in holding on til the fight was stopped. That fight was Big Nog's to lose and he lost it. Sucked. So now the question is how long is he gonna be out cause that arm is wrecked. Will he be able to fight anytime next year or is it gonna be 2013 before we see him fight again?

Then we have the main event... Jones/Machida. Machida did seem to catch Jones a couple of times in the first round. It wasn't until Jones took Machida down and got that elbow in that he had the confidence swell in him. then he caught him real good with that left and then choked him out cold.

Jon Jones is a beast for real. I would say though... the only other real challenge that he has left in Light Heavyweight is Rashad. Machida was gonna be real interesting with the elusiveness and his good quick striking but... Jones was able to stage it off. Rashad is elusive, he counters well, and his wrestling is outstanding. Plus he is also quick and can leap in and out. Thats what I wanna see. If Jones can get past rashad... the light heavyweight division will be owned by Jones.

But man... watching it at Buffalos is always a treat cause there is a whole bunch of people getting into the fight and when something big happens you hear this big collective "OOOOHHHHHHH" and it its just fun.

Jon Jones, Lyoto Machida, Chan Sung Jung and Frank Mir each won $75,000 for post-fight honors at UFC 140 on Saturday at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

In the Fight of the Night, Jones became the first light heavyweight since Chuck Liddell to defend his belt more than once with his technical submission win over Lyoto Machida. After an uneasy first round, Jones in the second dropped Machida and then secured a sleep-inducing standing guillotine at four minutes and 26 seconds.

In what UFC president Dana White described as "Submission of the Century" while handing out the post-fight bonuses, Mir submitted Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira with kimura, dislocating the former interim UFC champ's shoulder in the process.

"I had a strong inclination [Nogueira] was not going to tap," Mir said. "I took a deep breath ... and you guys saw what happened."

Mir's submission was a come-from-behind win beginning with a choke escape to claim side control. Mir then quickly latched on a kimura and held the hold until Nogueira tapped. But by then, Nogueira's arm had already been bent out of position. Mir now becomes the first person to not only knock out Nogueira, but to submit him as well.

Jung took home Knockout of the Night with his seven-second KO over Mark Hominick, tying the UFC's official quickest knockout record in the process. Entering the fight as a heavy underdog, Jung leveled Hominick in the opening moments with a right hand and then knocked him out on the ground with punches. The official time was seven seconds.

Jung has produced "best of year" categories in both of his fights this year. Jung already has won the general consensus Submission of the Year with his Twister over Leonard Garcia and on Saturday offered a seven-second KO as one of the best knockouts in this calendar year.

According to White, UFC 140 drew 18,303 in attendance for a $3.9 million gate.

This was an awesome PPV, really enjoyed it especially since they showed two hours of prelims here before the PPV even started. Most of the main card fights were short but they were exciting to watch.

What a way to start with Chan Sung Jung winning in 7 (I thought it was 6) seconds. Hominick went for a huge swing right after they touched gloves but Jung easily moved out the way and followed up with an awesome right.

Ebersole and Patrick are such similar fighters and they cancelled each other in this fight. Neither could really do anything since the other could defend against it easily. I was shocked by the decision because I thought that Patrick won the first two rounds and Ebersole the last and I was surprised that two judges thought Ebersole won the second. I am an Ebersole fan so I am glad he gets the W in the end but I don't think he actually won the fight.

Ortiz started fast but didn't last long at all. In the end it was pretty easy for Lil Nog.

Mir was awesome against Big Nog. He got rocked big time but he stayed calm and Big Nog was a bit dumb when they got to the ground. He was striking his head but getting told to stop hitting the back of the head, rather than simply hitting the side of the head to finish he went for a submission and never had it locked in. Mir nicely slipped into the kimura and the constant roll and attempted reversal was great. Couldn't believe that Big Nog didn't tap, Mir held it tight and then when he didn't tap he just snapped it, the pop of the shoulder was a crazy thing to see. Excellent performance by Mir.

Mainevent was great. Machida really brought it to Jones and Jones proved that he does have a chin. He got hit a couple of times but was never fazed and just continued to push. Great elbow to open Machida up and then the right followed by the guillotine was excellent. Jones continues to prove he is one of the best fighters in the UFC and I can't believe that some were booing him. He is always humble and never talks trash about the other fighters. Can't wait to see how he goes against Evans and Davis.
