Prowrestling.com:
WWE’s The Marine 3 with The Miz has sold 169,211 DVD’s since it was released. That’s a high number for a WWE Studios movie and company officials are thrilled. 12 Rounds: Reloaded with Randy Orton has sold 51,727 DVD’s since it was released.

I assume the numbers are US only and not world wide but even so that seems incredibly low. If you combine all the walmart stores and subsidiaries not to mention online. Thats roughtly 10k stores so only 5 dvds per store for Orton and 17 per store for Marine 3. Thats good? I mean you're using third tier actors and your own wrestlers but still.

How don't know how well other straight-to-DVDs sell to compare it to though, this might be amazing for those.

That's the key. Without other straight to DVD numbers from other genres to compare to, we don't know exactly how telling these numbers are

Nobody else seems to release it as units sold just money made. Still if you look at the numbers I posted 17 per store? How is that not looking week. I mean if it's one of the best selling straight to DVDs of all time it's still kinda sad.

DVDs....... companies never cared about individual sales of dvds, they cared that their movies were profitable enough for Stores to to order their shit. Which is why Comedy Central gave Dave Chappelle 50 milbos for his show moving over a million units.

All about the corporations mass odering your shit, not those individuals picking your shit up at Wal-Mart, it's about Wal-Mart ordering 10 more copies of that shit.

They are solid numbers for straight to DVD. The Bluray sales for these movies were strong as well, especially The Marine 3, so they will be making a profit here. Walmart doesn't publically release sales figures so they would use estimates for Walmart sales. This is only a fraction of the revenue anyway since there are also rentals, on demand, tv rights, worldwide sales etc.

We will find out more detail at the next WWE earnings call.
