"WWE are reportedly trying to put together a dream match between the legendary Undertaker and WCW icon Sting for their next Saudi Arabia show.
Vince McMahon has used the controversial trips to the Middle East to entice a host of Hall of Fame names out of retirement.

Goldberg was the latest star to return – albeit in a disastrous clash with ‘Taker at Super ShowDown in June.
That followed on from Shawn Michaels’ return at Crown Jewel the previous year, a decade after he hung up his wrestling boots.

Now it seems McMahon and his fellow wrestling chiefs are plotting to entice another blast from the past back inside the squared-circle.
The 60-year-old Sting, real name Steve Borden, was forced to call it a day four years ago with a neck injury sustained during his brief period wrestling for WWE.
He has always maintained since that he would not climb back into the ring for one more battle – but he has been vocal over his regret at never getting the opportunity to go one-on-one with the Dead Man.
Now he may finally get that opportunity, according to The Dirty Sheets podcast.

They state McMahon is looking to bring Sting back for one more match.
That led to WWF Old School claiming: “Another match that WWE wants to book is The Undertaker vs. Sting. “WWE wants to book his [Undertaker’s] dream match next year (most probably at a Saudi Arabia PPV) and are hoping to get Sting medically cleared for this bout.

“Sting suffered a neck injury during his last match, which was against Seth Rollins back in 2015 at Night Of Champions PPV.
“Sting (age 60) getting cleared at this point will be very difficult, but the hope is still there among WWE officials.”
Despite the 54-year-old Undertaker and Sting’s age, the prospect of seeing two of the biggest names to ever compete would certainly be an intriguing one for the WWE Universe.
The two men were key players in the Monday Night Wars between WWE and WCW back in the late 90s and remain huge fan favourites to this day.
After McMahon purchased WCW in 2001, Sting refused to sign for his rival due to loyalty to the fallen brand."

Thoughts?

I'll believe it when I see the first ad for it.

I'm not biting into speculation from podcasts I've never heard of.

I also heard a rumour that Bret Hart was seen getting back into shape to face Kurt Angle at one of these Saudi Arabia shows.....Overheard was Vince McMahon being impressed by how Hart took a bump from a crazed fan and noted that he may have "one more left"...... 8D

I don't doubt that WWE wants this, but I feel like they'll have to offer Sting a lot of blood money

Guarantee me that Sting is finally going to go over in a WWE match and maybe, just maybe I’ll fuck with it.

I wouldn't want to see this shit at all. I hardly would have wanted it in 2015. Way beyond the point of caring about it at this point.

Triple H was saying Wayback in 2012 that he wanted to do it but for whatever reason Sting kept renewing his yearly TNA contract so I stopped caring about it by the time 2015 rolled around, too.

Isn’t his neck and/or spine in rough shape?
That's what I keep reading.

Thought this was all but dead when WWE.com did that little what if scenario and everyone was speculating until Meltzer killed it.

It's also funny how people are "I don't want to see this".....ok.

Don't.

I haven't actually seen a Saudi Arabia show outside of the Goldberg/Taker match.

Not because of some political beliefs or some kind of protest.....I just didn't care enough to see it.

If it happens I’ll see it. My main issue with not wanting to see it is not the match itself necessarily it’s not wanting to see Sting lose his third WWE match. Especially not to the undertaker so Vince can once again go my version was the better version.

Well when I say I don't want to see it, take that as me seeing I won't watch it if it happens. But I still doubt it will happen.

I would imagine that to be the case for quite a few people.
