WWE has parted ways with an employee who worked closely with Paul "Triple H" Levesque.

PWInsider reported on Wednesday that WWE recently released Lisette Pineda, who worked as the company's manager of global talent strategy and development. Pineda had been with the company since January 2020.

Pineda is said to have worked closely with Levesque, who underwent heart surgery last year. She was described as being his "top executive assistant." With Levesque still away following his surgery, Pineda's role with the company became limited, possibly leading to her departure.

PWInsider wrote that Pineda's departure "sparked discussion and wonder as to whether Levesque is ever coming back as many who used to be in constant communication with him haven't spoken with him in some time and there's no indication he's anywhere close to stepping back into his former roles for the company. Obviously, there's never been (and should not be) a timeline for his return, but Pineda's exit has been seen as a sign by some that it will be still some time (at the least) before Levesque is close to coming back."

WWE issued a statement on September 8 of last year announcing that Levesque had suffered a cardiac event that was due to a genetic issue. He underwent surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital. The company stated that Levesque was expected to make a full recovery.

Levesque did take part in an interview with Fast Company in December where he spoke about WWE's NIL "Next in Line" recruiting program. Levesque was also spotted in a video touring WWE's new corporate headquarters in November.
