WWE is great but why is it considered the best wrestling company by most fans when it really isn't ?

Don't get me wrong, I love the WWE and wouldn't be a fan of wrestling were it not for the WWE. I get that it's the presentation the fancy high definition video screens, LED lights that flash a variety of different colors, the theme music, really expensive stage designs and tons of media coverage. But when it comes to the actual wrestling match, it's nowhere near the greatest. The TV matches last less than 5 minutes or even a few seconds, so you don't even have time to enjoy it because they go right to the next segment or another match immediately afterwards and the reason why it doesn't last long is because there's way too much talking or too much focus on the fancy entrances that waste a lot of time and when they do wrestle, it's just a lot of striking and not much focus on the grappling and submissons, I know not every match has to be technical but the least add more variety to it, instead of the same somersaults the same punches and kicks and the power up "Hulk Hogan" like superhuman comebacks after taking a beating . It's completely unrealistic.

Best wrestling company by who exactly?

The only people I hear saying this are WWE fanboys, casual wrestling fans, and children.

That's what I'm referring to.
Well fanboys are self explanatory. It is like cheering on your favorite sports team. You will do it even if they suck.
Casual fans like it because it is easy to just start watching at any point. They don't do very long story lines and they have recognizable faces.
Children... Well, they likely don't know about New Japan, indie wrestling, or anything else that is out there because it is not on TV.

Because WWE is the only promotion they're aware of.

Like me for instance, WWE is the only promotion i watch so i can't judge any other company.

WWE is arguably the best wrestling company because it reaches the most amount of people. If you are measuring it on which company is the best at doing business in the wrestling business. WWE is undeniably the best.

In terms of quality of product, that is subjective and if someone thinks WWE produces the best product then fair fucking play to them. Any promotion that has AJ styles is the best

First, why does it matter? The opinions of others concerning professional wrestling should have no bearing on your life.

WWE is bigger than any other wrestling company in the world. It's been that way since the turn of the century, when previously NJPW was the biggest for close to a decade. Now, WWE has such a huge share of the market that even the idea of another company coming close to being as big as they are seems absurd. Even NJPW is far, far behind now in terms of size.

Due to the size and prominence of the company, of course there will be a lot of people who consider it the best. There's more people exposed to it. If they get close to 6 million viewers a week between Raw and Smackdown and, for example, Impact gets less than 300,000, then the number speak for themselves. You need less than five percent of the WWE crowd to think it's the best to automatically cancel out the Impact crowd.

However, this whole "best" thing is silly. It's not an objective measure. I personally believe NJPW is the best. Can I prove it? No. Does me believing that change anything? No. Does anyone really care that I feel that way? No. Is anyone going to go to work on Monday cussing and swearing because I think NJPW is the best? No. So you shouldn't care how many or what percentage of people feel WWE is the best. They are no more right or wrong than I am right or wrong. It's all viewpoint and it is a viewpoint that obviously affects no one other than the person themselves who feel that way.

For example:

Most money and most popular so it's the best. End of story

I like this guy even though he has questionable tastes :emoji_slight_smile: I could never agree with his reasoning as to why WWE is the best. However, it's valid reasoning because it's his viewpoint. And it doesn't really affect anyone other than him.

(I had to pick on you a little bit MRE just cause it's been a while since I had a chance to).

Just because something earns the most and is watched the most, doesn't mean it is the best though. I can think of someone on YouTube that gets a lot of money and has a lot of views but is considered one of the worst YouTubers there are...

Because the fans are brainwashed?

Because much like Vince the fans think "bigger is better"?

Because NXT?

Because there is really no other mainstream option for wrestling fans anymore?

Because Lucha Underground doesn't have a big enough budget?

Because of the "Cultural barriers" between the worldwide audience & NJPW?

Because the WWE have Becky & Charlotte?

I don't know...

Look...I'm not going to "the Negative One" here...all I'll state if you love the WWE
& think everything they do is perfectly fine...then I'm glad for you.

I hope you enjoy every minute.

I like the WWE...but I just think it could be so much better in terms of storytelling
& who gets pushed & for what reasons.

I want the product to be more theatrical & interesting...but that's my own opinion.

I really do like NXT because of the "less is more" approach and every minute of that
show seems to count for so much...while RAW seems to struggle to fill its 3 hours
with meaningful & interesting content.

"Brains" Strowman? Fat Shaming? Plank of Wood promos?

Ugh...

Ok first off saying matches are short. Like 5 mins or less is a joke right? Most matches are way too long and have 1, 2 Nd sometimes 3 commercial breaks in them. That's annoying

I can't really say anything that Jacob hasn't, because he nailed what I was going to say right on the head. I will say though people's opinion on what is the best is based on what they like for example I was heavily into Hardcore Wrestling for about 3 or 4 years so for those years promotions like the original ECW, CZW, BJW, and FMW were the best to me. So if people have only watched WWE or enjoy what they do then WWE is always the best. My personal favorite promotion is NJPW mainly because of Suzuki-gun is my favorite stable and has two wrestlers I enjoy watching.
