You don't like the attitude era. We do. I provided facts why this would be a smart move for WWE going forward, you just offered your opinion which is fine. You are entitled to that. But, I offered facts up to sustain the fact that this may be what WWE may need to do.

Okay, I'm gonna ask you this one time. I wasn't pissed at your opinion. I am now getting pissed that you are being a keyboard warrior little bitch. So, if you don't like what the fuck I am saying little bitch put me on ignore fag. Don't sit here and being a little troll ass little bitch.

See this is where I'm kinda at a "maybe" bc that shit definitely did huge business in the 90s, but I don't think that's any guarantee that it will today...I'm leaning towards it probably will but different times and shit could see it doing about the same numbers as today's current product. But I'm def fine with them trying whatever since I can be entertained by all kinds of wrestling.
I never said or ever will say it wasn't successful for the times, doesn't also mean that most if not 95% of it won't fly in today's social climate.

Also doesn't negate the fact that Nielsens are an outdated metric and people who still bring that up is also stuck in the past......Billions with a capital B is what they're getting.

People seem to think ratings are somehow more important than making money.

When if you're a promoter....isn't the truth, you want the money.

You literally started insulting me first pal.

How am I trolling?

Can't play the victim in this just because you got in your feels.

Five years down the road, they'll be 2.35 billion dollars richer, while still getting that Saudi money for another 10......they'll be financially set after all our deaths.

If I was a promoter......that's what I want, not some slot on TNT trying to placate the niche fan of today, while seemingly not doing anything to grow their product.

Or the Japanese company that only put 5 thousand people in a stadium that holds 25 thousand over the weekend.

Aaaand with that, this thread is done.

Nobody is getting an infraction, but I was expecting much better from you guys. You are fine to disagree all you want, but when it gets to flaming, that is where we have to draw the line. You are more than free to continue to discuss the topic in the general chat, but it appears the purpose of this thread is finished with.

What a shithouse this thread turned into.

It's actually crazy how simplistic it's being made out that because the Attitude Era WAS great at the time, going in that direction now would also be the solution. This shit was 20 years ago, times have changed, ways of watching TV has changed and the amount of competition (not other wrestling companies) has increased during this time frame. What flew back then, for the most part won't fly today mainly due to social media and you don't even have to look too far back to when Snickers? threatened to pull their advertising because of all negative stuff that had been circulating on Moolah after WWE decided to name whatever match it was, in her honour. Can you imagine the public shitstorm that would fall on them if they decided that it was enough of treating the women like equals and just went back to putting them in bras and panties, mud matches and the like?

They don't need to go back to anything, just loosen the reigns a little and allow them a little more freedom to be them.
