October is right around the corner so by the time this tournament gets going it'll hopefully not be ridiculously hot outside and actually feel like fall. So our next tournament is going to decide the all-time best horror movie...at least according to our members.

I'm going to leave nominations open for 5 days until around Sunday night or so, don't worry too much if you're late bc I can give extra time if it'll help for more accurate seedings. Just send in your top 20 horror movies RANKED (for seeding purposes, so not just 20 in a random order). They can be from any decade, and I'm not going to be a stickler for if certain movies are "technically" horror or not, if you consider it a horror movie, you can send it in so this would also include comedy horror movies. Just be aware that when we vote in the actual tournament, if someone were to not consider it a horror movie then it would hurt that movie's chances of moving on. But genres are obviously suggestive so don't worry about it when you're sending in your list, I'm not going to disqualify any movies if I don't personally consider then horror movies unless I think it's obviously a joke (I'm looking at you KIF, don't send some dumbass shit and make me ignore your whole list :side: )

Also another note: You can choose to send in less than 20 films if you'd like, but just know that will hurt the seeding for your movies a bit because the system I'm using is a #1 ranked film gets 20 points and a #20 ranked film gets 1 point with the others in between scoring accordingly. But say you only send in 10 movies then your #1 ranked film will only get 10 points instead of the full 20.

Less than 20? I'll have a hard time shaving it down.
I was gonna do 30, but then I remembered how much of a pain it was dealing with that many for the WrestleMania one which was just over 30 so I decided to cap it at 20 lol. One good thing about this tournament though is if I don't get enough nominations for accurate seeding bc people on this site are lazy, I'll just look at some lists online since there's a ton of "Best horror movie rankings" and use them to get some better seeding for the overall tournament.

Chris mentioned Children of the Corn sequels and honestly I could fill this whole list with exclusively sequels.

I'm trying to decide how honest I wanna be on this list...
I mean I wouldn't ever tell other people how to vote, but just my philosophy is that "favorite" does not equel "best" and I can differentiate between those two concepts, but most people just consider favorites the best which is also fine bc it's all subjective. I'm gonna be voting for what I think is objectively the best film though, not which one I would watch over the other bc especially with horror films, some of them are great but just hard to watch bc they're done so well with a fucked up subject matter, so I'd rather watch something else over it. As for nominations though, I'm definitely going for my favorites and then I just might vote against some of em

Those really weren't a joke answer from me, I love the Children of the Corn series. Most of my lists were classics and stuff I enjoyed.
Yeah I really fucked with the variety in your list, mine will have a lot of the same ones tbh but I've never really watched Children of the Corn so not those lol
