Sitting here flipping through the channels and stopped on FX and Tomb Raider was on there and it got me thinking. There have been a ton of Video Games turned into movies and was wandering what everyone felt was their favorite Game turned into a movie. Here is the list of movies that were based on video games.

Super Mario Bros.
Double Dragon
Street Fighter: A Big Adventure
Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat: Annihilation
Wing Commander
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within
Resident Evil
House of the Dead
Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life
Resident Evil: Apocalypse
Alone in the Dark
Doom
BloodRayne
Silent Hill
DOA: Dead or Alive
Postal
Resident Evil: Extinction
Hitman
In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale
Max Payne
Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li
Tekken
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
Resident Evil: Afterlife
Silent Hill: Revelation 3D
Resident Evil: Retribution

This list does not include all the animated ones just the ones that will be or has been released into theaters.

I would have to say the Tomb Raider movies were the best ones followed by Resident Evil. The rest have been pretty abysmal.

I would also have to add Mortal Kombat to my favorites too. Don't know why but I really like that movie and end up watching it when it is on.

There have been a few. I will list my favorites though.

Resident Evil - The first two were phenomenal but the last two were kind of a let down. I'm looking forward to the 5th installment still.

Silent Hill - Just something about it was great. When I first seen it I was not all that high on it. But after watching it again I started to understand more of what was going on and came away enjoying it. I hope the upcoming sequel is equally as good.

Mortal Kombat - The first was a good installment although still very much flawed. It is a good turn off your brain and enjoy it kind of movie. The second installment was utter garbage though.

DOA: Dead or Alive - Devon Aoki looking fine as hell in a bikini. Enough said. Made up for the garbage that the movie actually was.

Tekken - Decent little action movie that didn't get a lot of love. Watched it a couple of times and still liked it. Very flawed but it was much like the Mortal Kombat movie.

House of the Dead - So bad it is watchable. Same with the sequel. I own both on DVD and have watched them a couple of times.

Tomb Raider - They were decent and worth watching. Haven't watched either one since they were in theaters but I remember liking them. Just not enough to own because I doubt I would watch them a whole lot.

The rest either sucked and I have erased from my memory or I haven't seen them.

Prince of Persia was good and stayed faithful to the video game very well. Considering it did alright at the box office too, I surprised no sequel was touted.

What I've seen of Hitman looks alright, but it seemed to have no intent of being faithful to the series.

Apart from those 2 (and Super Mario Bros, which was shite), I haven't really tried to watch any of the rest.

Ah, I did forget Hitman. That was one of my favorites as well and Timothy Olyphant was pretty damn awesome in that.
