13. Goldberg vs. Rick Rude vs. Chris Benoit vs. Shane Helms

Stacked competition is an understatement here. Often overlooked and written off as a bust, Goldberg comes in with an undefeatable mindset. Meanwhile the Ravishing One makes a case for himself with his off the charts physique and above average in-ring skills. All the same, Chris Benoit comes in as perhaps the greatest wrestler in this tournament, or at least the greatest young one. And then there’s Shane Helms.

My god this is the worst one. As much as I love Benoit (as a wrestler) I have to vote for Rude.

Shane Helms is fun and all, but GOAT? Not even close. Since this is a WCW ONLY thing, I am going to take Benoit out as well, since we all know his best work came both before his WCW run and of course after it. Goldberg was certainly captivating, and the streak became an important part of the Monday Night War's, but once he was neutered by Nash, it was hard to take him seriously. Rick Rude can arguably be considered one of the catalysts to the entire Monday Night War's (by way of his appearance on both Raw and Nitro in the same night) and also has a bona fide contender for greatest WCW match of all time (30 Minute Iron Man with Steamboat) under his belt. I'm voting for Rude, but I wouldn't be shocked to see Goldberg win this matchup.

So yeah, Rick Rude.

For the reasons mentioned above, as well as for the fact that Rude was better wrestler than Goldberg... I'm going to vote for Rick Rude

Gonna give Goldberg his first vote. Hot fire during his unbeaten run.

Voting Rude. He can easily be justified as one of WCW's best before his injury.

I was never a fan of Goldberg and the streak... Rude's career was so much more decorated and he brought more credibility to the ring when performed.
