Vicki Askew, the mother of WWE chairman Vince McMahon, has passed away at 101 years old.
An obituary for Askew states that she "passed away quietly of natural causes in her sleep at home in The Woodlands, TX" on January 20. Funeral services were held on January 22, and there will be a private burial for Askew in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania at a later date.
Askew died on the one-year anniversary of Rod McMahon's passing. Rod was Askew's son and Vince McMahon's brother.
Askew is survived by one son, four grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Her husband Harold Askew died in 2010.
Askew was an avid tennis player. The Ebensburg Tennis Center in Pennsylvania was dedicated to her after Vince McMahon and the McMahon Family Foundation donated $2.5 million to build the facility. The idea for the tennis center originated from Harold Askew calling Vince after being concerned that Vicki had to drive 22 miles in the winter to play tennis in Altoona. The Ebensburg center opened in 2007.
Askew would have turned 102 years old this July.
