10. Rihanna ft. Mikky Ekko: 'Stay' (3.85m)

Digital Spy

So, no surprises on what the biggest song of the year was, as "Blurred Lines" destroyed the competition in both countries. Other artists to have major success in both were Katy Perry, Pink, and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

A closer look sees a disappointing year for UK music as only two artists cracked the year end top ten, and I'd bet good money on Passenger being a one hit wonder.

Yep, the kids are definitely listening to garbage. Out of every one of those songs listed, I like two. Anyone care to hazard a guess as to which two they are?

The United Kingdom needs to calm down on the caps lock. WHY ARE WE SHOUTING BLURRED LINES?

Not surprising that Robin Thicke owned the charts. It's still being played on radio stations over here.

Radioactive and can't hold us. I don't like any of those songs and that Robin Thicke piece if trash is horrendous

Actually, Blurred Lines is one of the two that I like. By like I mean "don't mind", not "I'd buy the album".

The other one is Royals. That's some catchy shit.

I just don't like blurred lines at all. The song doesn't know if it wants be the fat Albert theme, a 70's sound (which by the way seemed to control a lot of the songs I heard this year), or a contemporary sound. The song really has no point but to piss me off on a daily basis.

Out of this list I like Blurred Lines, Just Give Me a Reason and Royals.

I still haven't gotten sick of Blurred Lines. I also like his Give It 2 U song which gets no air play.

I think that was point of the beat. It was trying to be a mix of 70s and contemporary harmonies.

It did but I for one did not like this entry into the daft punk group of songs.

Blurred Lines was actually pretty good at first, but I heard it way too much.

I really liked Royals from the get-go and still do, think that has more staying power and more continuing enjoyment than Blurred Lines. I dig Radioactive too and I gotta admit Roar is pretty damn catchy.
