NXT North American Champion Velveteen Dream appears to have his eyes — all three of them — locked on Buddy Murphy.

In two new videos posted today on The Dream’s Twitter account, the Superstar provocateur can be seen mocking The Unstoppable after his Cruiserweight Title loss to Tony Nese on the WrestleMania Kickoff.

Velveteen Dream, who retained the NXT North American Title against Matt Riddle at last Friday’s TakeOver: New York, not only ridiculed the Australian Superstar over losing the Cruiserweight Championship, but also accused Murphy of being unable to “handle the spotlight.”

Check out the videos below:
Could Murphy be coming back to NXT in the shakeup? Perhaps finals of the new Worlds Collide special? :mark:

Honestly would be a disservice to send Murphy back to NXT after having carried that division for most of 2018.

Should be on SD working

I'd like to see both on Smackdown feuding non title. Perhaps winner can move towards the US scene. Been a while since we've had a lower mid card feud. Would be a good way to elevate both on the main roster.

I would probably die if these two both moved to SmackDown in the shakeup.

Aside from feuding with each other, can you imagine Dream and Kofi?

I feel this, but at the same time he never got a real run on NXT bc he wasn't doing shit til 205 and even though its main roster, I think everyone respects NXT more and it's got better talent so I'd also love for him to go be an NXT main eventer even if its technically a step down

Nah I think him going to NXT would be weird now. If Dream called him out however that might be the plan.

Btw my brain still hurts when I realize Blake and Murphy were a thing.

I always knew Murphy had it in him specifically because Blake and Murphy were a good tag team. I never got the hate on them. Obviously Blake was the Jannetty of the duo, though.

That said, NXT criminally did nothing with him after the split. I wouldn’t mind one fire run.

Calling them a good tag team is a stretch. They had a decent heater but nothing stood out about them as a team
