He was called up already before his neck injury... He didn't retire then, a bunch of fluff.

Man, quit being such a brainwashed mark, get on the main roster and make that money.
They didn't see a payraise for NXT getting on USA for tens of millions of dollars. Don't be fools, get the money, especially
if you have neck injuries and the pay window is closing.

I can only guess he likes being a big fish in a small pound, over being a small fish in a big one.

Look if he feels like he has unfinished business in NXT that's cool but it's stupid that he never wants to be on the main roster.

The headline is very misleading, it makes it play into the whole narrative where people talk about how mishandled the NXT talents are when they get called up (generally.)

The actual meaning behind his words were

"I've vocalized to them that if I have to go to RAW or Smackdown I'm going to retire and become a Producer or Coach"
-Says he "fought the call up"
-Says a run on the main roster "Isn't worth it for me or my family
-Says his body wouldn't be able to handle the schedule.

When you get the actual context, it's actually a fair point.

We can just break his neck again for him, if he isn't gonna give us dream matches at Mania.

I love everyone's eagerness to go full on Raven "what a mark" gif without taking time to understand the main reason he says this, which is that he's too injured to take on the main roster travel and work schedule. On top of that, I'm guessing he's making more money than virtually everyone else on the NXT roster right now, while doing fulfilling work. I mean, he knows how much money he's making and he knows better than us what his physical limitations are. He's a smart guy. I trust he's doing what he surmises to be the best for himself and his loved ones.

We can just break his neck again for him, if he isn't gonna give us dream matches at Mania.
I would be shocked if NXT guys aren't a part of Mania this year, personally.

I feel like that's a very real possibility. Trips loves to and pretty much always wrestles his pals at Mania. He loves Ciampa. I'm sure they'll wrestle at some point.

Body can't handle the schedule....but doing a nestea plunge off a cage is :cena5:

It all makes sense, if you saw his network special, you already knew this....apparently he had a miracle baby while he was in a Halo, of course he would want to stick around the Florida loop.

And atleast he knows what he's going to do after his career is done. :WOW
