There is one reality and that is the one in which we live in - and it is referred as the Smarkiverse. A world wide contagion has crippled the entire world, and by doing so brought the world of professional wrestling to a grinding halt. In the months that follow that superpowers and big name placeholders in the sport either go bankrupt or sell or their stock in order to keep the fat cats happy. However - as a cure is found a number of independent wrestling shows take place around the country, although all of the stars find themselves in a world where they have all become uncontracted independent workers. An opening is created in the market and the Xtreme Wrestling organisation is born. They announce that their inaugural show will take place in March: Night of Infamy I. The xWo makes it clear that they have no intention of creating a monopoly on the best talent - but rather presenting the best content for their prospective fans around the world.

Marty Scurll vs. Hiromu Takashasi (Singles Match)
At the independent wrestling show War Games (presented by the Alpha Wrestling Association) Marty Scurll successfully defeated Jay White and by doing so became the leader of the infamous Bullet Club. Scurll would go to social media and live tweet during a match between Hiromu Takahashi and Jordan Devlin that took place at Inebriation (presented by Mitch’s Wrestling Alliance) and Scurll would make it very apparent that despite Takahashi retaining the MWA United States Championship, Hiromu had absolutely no talent and was in dire need of returning to a wrestling school so that he didn’t make an embarrassment of himself. It became clear that this wasn’t being built up by the xWo, but rather that Scurll was very much shooting on Takahashi. The pair haven’t met since the Best Of The Super Junior XXV, so it is clear that this match will certainly wet the appetites of the average wrestling fan.

Sammy Guevara vs. Titan (Singles Match)
Sammy Guevara impressed everyone when he won the Million Dollar Ultimate-X at Bailout Bonanza, although what Sammy hadn’t been told was that the million dollars was strictly kafaybe and that he wasn’t going to be win such a large sum prize (first rule of business - always read the contract.) Nonetheless Guevara performance has without a doubt put him head and shoulders above many in his field for the spots he managed to pull at Bailout Bonanza so much so that the xWo offered him a chance to be one of two men to compete in the first title match in the history of the xWo; for a title that will be known as the Evo-Division Championship. Guevara’s opponent will be another individual of Latin descent, the name simply known as Titan. Titan was involved in an incredible triple threat match involving Johnny Gargano and Noam Dar that would see Titan become the Cruiserweight Champion at the first ever FUWA event. Both men really can be considered as being the future of the wrestling business, and so are perfectly matched in a contest that will crown the first champion.

Scream Queenz vs. Sane & Shirai vs. Allie & Kimber Lee (Ladder Match)
The xWo would reveal that a lot of time and effort went into scouting the female talent that would be most suited in competing for the Women’s Tag Team Championship. The first team was put together with both women having a massive amount of history, although the history being built on them beating the holy crap out of each other and there was no love lost the last time they both as they competed that ‘Fear & Hate’ (Juice Wrestling Alliance) in the Clockwork Orange House of Fun match which would eventually be won by by Rosemary and Pentagon Jr. Nonetheless it seems that both Rosemary and Su Yung seemed to have come to an understanding and have united under the name ‘Scream Queenz’.

The second team recently worked together in competition and achieved victory at the Funkdafied Wrestling Federation event. . The chemistry present between Kairi Sane and Io Shirai was undeniable which was part of the reason they seemed to have willingly signed a short-term contract with the xWo to compete as a tag-team. Of the final team involved only one member worked during the week of mass independent shows Allie - who despite putting on an impressive showing at the Vader Memorial Show was unable to become the Queen of the Ring. However, Allie has reunited with former partner Kimber Lee. There are some rumours that Allie may return to her previous working name of Cherry Bomb, but as it stands she will be still working as Allie for the time being.

The six women will compete in a ladder match, with the vacant championships being hoisted above the ring. One thing is for certain, this match looks highly likely to inject some interest back into the world of women’s tag team action.

Dolph Zigger vs. Austin Aries vs. ‘Hangman’ Adam Page vs. Sanada (Fatal Four Way)
Dolph Ziggler was man that really stood out with his recent performance at the Blaze Championship Wrestling, to the point that Dave Meltzer said that if if Big E hadn’t been involved Zigger could have easily beaten both members of Lethal Consequences in a five star rating performance, unfortunately Big E was sloppy and cost Ziggler the win. Dolph would go on record in stating that he had been in the crowd at the ‘Nobody Puts Baby in The Corner’ event (Encore Wrestling Alliance) and had been impressed by the performance of Austin Ares in his victory of Tomasso Ciampa so much so that he had personally gone out of his way that the xWo signed Aries up in order to lineup a match between the pairing something which Double A seemed very happy about accepting. The Xtreme Wrestling Organisation would throw a spanner in the works though, clearly not wanting to just place just the two men in a straight match against each other. One man who had impressed at the Vader Memorial Show was ‘Hangman’ Adam Page and it was confirmed that Page would be thrown into the mix of what was planned to be a Fatal Four Way match, although the four man was yet to be decided.

With the aid of a translator Los Ingobernables de Japon members Sanada would very much put himself forward on social media that he was the man most suited to the job. Sanada would make the point that both Ziggler and Aries were pair of almost men that had never had what it took to achieve any level of greatness, although would offer some praise to Page (having also featuring at the Vader Memorial), however he would make the point that ‘Hangman’ was just a cliche American wrestler who had been a member of the Bullet Club, but had never actually achieved anything of recognition in the American market. Sanda would make the point that he was coming to America, to send a clear message to a class of wrestler that had far too many opportunities without anything to really show for it.

Kenny Omega vs. Will Ospreay
It has been announced that xWo weekly show will be under a brand called Revenge - and that the Revenge Championship will be considered as second tier singles belt, and thus arguably the second most important belt in the company (not including the women’s division). It is therefore not at all surprising that there was a desire to pick from the cream of the crop before deciding which two men would have the chance to compete for what the xWo hope one day will be considered a prestigious title. The first man selected is someone that some people could debate deserves to be slightly higher up the card, but there is no denying that this man is destined to become one of the greatest wrestlers of all time and he would prove his worth at the Major League Wrestling event when he secured victory of Adam Cole, the person in question is none other than ‘The Cleaner’ Kenny Omega. It was equally as difficult to find a man worthy of being Omega’s opponent and yet somehow being one of the men involved in the evening’s main-event however a particular performance impressed everyone at the Blaze Championship Wrestling event when Will Ospreay cemented himself in wrestling folklore by defeating Chris Jericho. No matter which way this contest goes, there can be no argument that the man who lifts the title above his head is going to strike fear into all prospective challengers from here on out.

Kings of Wrestling vs. Beer Money vs. Proud & Powerful vs. The Young Bucks vs. El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori vs. reDRagon (Tag Team Elimination Chamber)
There was a period of time where tag team wrestling didn’t get the respect it deserved, but in recent years there has been a resurgence and so it is of no surprise that a member of team were very vocal when it was announced that xWo had exclusively purchased the rights for the ‘Elimination Chamber’ and that six teams would compete for their chance to become the xWo Tag Team Champions. It was therefore not a surprise to anyone that one of the team involved, were the team which had been successful in winning the recent ‘Tagged Across Concrete Tournament’ (CHWA) and if you had any smarts about you, you would be aware that the eventual winner had been the reunited ‘King of Wrestling’ Chris Hero and Antonio Cesaro. They second team would be one that had only originally been planning one teaming as a one-off at the Bailout Bonanza, however after defeating The Briscoes, xWo management made James Storm and Bobby Roode a lucrative contractual offer that neither man would ever willingly turn down. The third addition was also a pairing that had been active during the string of charity events, and after claiming a victory at Nobody Puts Baby In The Corner (ECW) Proud and Powerful found themselves joining an already stacked wrestling contest, and with half the teams not even public knowledge.

The next two teams appeared in a match together at Fear & Hate (Juice Wrestling Alliance) which means going into this contest one pairing already has bragging rights over the other. However, the match between the Young Bucks and El Phantasmo & Taiji Ishimori went down so well with audiences despite only be offered at the JWA event as a mid-card match, the xWo management team made a clear point that both teams couldn’t be allowed to go elsewhere on the raw talent and agility they offered the tag team division. The last team included were no surprise to anyone, although it was quite clear that the community were in agreement that the pair returning to their previous name was seen as the much more popular decision. Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly would be very vocal on social media and make it known to everyone that they had every expectation that reDRagon would end the night as the premier tag-team champions.

Nick Aldis vs. Kento Miyahara (All Or Nothing Match)
It would surface via a leak that both Nick Aldis and Kento Miyahara had signed a contract with the xWo, but were not set to feature as part of the Night of Infamy card. During a press event Nick Aldis was asked on his opinion on the up and coming xWo World title match, which he candidly answer by stating that Kota Ibushi was the only men arguably on his level, and that Triple H and Pete Dunne were in the match to sell tickets rather than because of their actual proficiency in the ring. He would then go on to make the point that people like Kenny Omega, Kento Miyahara and Michael Elgin to name just as few would have been people he could have dealt with being pushed aside for. However, he seemed to actually shoot on the xWo in stating he was head and shoulders better than old Triple H and inexperienced Pette Dunne and that both men were just being rewarded on the basis of being former WWE talent.

Diamond Dallas Page would be revealed by xWo.com as the official Director of Fun for the company (a role similar to a commissioner, just not quite the official terminology) and DDP would make it clear that if anyone else felt the same way at Aldis then they should make their feelings known. Miyahara’s agent would release a statement making it clear that if he had been beaten by Seth Rollins and now won at the FUWA event, then America favouritism would have no doubt seen Rollins involved in the contest. The open criticism of the xWo some would have seen as both men effectively signing their contract termination without even competing at one event, however DDP had a much smarter solution. He informed both men that they would compete in an ‘All or Nothing Match’ - the winner would become the #1 contender for the xWo World Championship, but the loser wouldn’t be allowed to challenge for the belt for a period of 365 days. Both men accepted the terms, both having full belief in their abilities of leaving with arguably the most important victory in their careers so far.

Becky Lynch vs. Session Moth Martina vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Tessa Blanchard vs. Thunder Rosa vs. Gail Kim vs. Kris Statlander vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Hana Kimura vs. Sasha Banks

It was confirmed that the xWo Women’s Championship would be contested in a 10-Woman Over-The-Top-Rope Battle Royal. The following women were selected to take part after having impressive showings at the various special events that took place in recent weeks.

The first five entrants are as follows: Becky Lynch - who won an impressive Fatal Four Way against Bayley, Shayna Bazler and Angelina love at the FUWA event, Session Moth Martina - who defeated Lacey Evans at the CHWA event, Alexa Bliss - who had a comprehensively outstanding performance against Britt Baker, who surprised everyone but still was no really match for Bliss, Tessa Blanchard - who won the AWA Championship after beating Allysin Kay and then Velveteen Dream & Thunder Rosa - who totally embarrassed Dakota Kai in a Dog Collar Match at the FWF event.

The second five entrants are: Gail Kim - who also won a string of matches at the Future of Fun event, Kris Statlander who team up with Ember Moon at the Blaze Championship Wrestling event, but was deemed as the most impressive female during that event, Rhea Ripley - who not only competed in a ferocious match at the ECW Harcore Heaven event, but also demanded that none of the women she defeated feature in this contest (forcing xWo to not include Jordynne, Toni Storm or Taya Valkyrie), Hana Kimura - was victorious in winning a match against Bea Priestley vs. Emma vs. Jessicka Havok (also making her and Tessa Blanchard the only two women present in this match who competed at the same charity event in the weeks previous) & and the wrestler who completes the line up is Sasha Banks - who won a tremendous Iron Woman Match at the Encore Wrestling Alliance event.

The only variation to this match is that entrants will come to the ring every two minutes and they will do so in assigned pairs which will be randomly allocated by the management team.

Triple H vs. Kota Ibushi vs. Pete Dunne (Triple Threat)
The Night of Infamy main-event will see three of the best men in the industry compete in a triple threat match to earn the rights as the first ever xWo World Champion. The first man involved was someone that set the world on fire, after his truly hellacious three stages of hell match at the Bailout Bonanza. Despite being fifteen years senior of his opponent Triple H was still able to show the world just exactly why he was the ‘King of Kings’ as he would claim a truly momentous victory over Cody Rhodes to become the first man to be offered a contract to take part in this historic contest. Triple H joins the xWo as an active wrestler and at this time there has been no suggestion that he plans on taking a backseat as a member of the management team.

The second combatant in the Infamy main-event second a clear cut message to the rest of the industry that if you put your back into it, you might just do the impossible and ‘slay the beast’. Kota Ibushi was just that man and after an impressive victory over Brock Lesnar there was no denying that he was a man worthy of becoming the first ever xWo World Champion.

Names surfaced like Michael Elgin, Rob Van Dam, Danie Bryanl to name just a few as the man who would be chosen as the third and final pick. However, the main event of Inebriation (MWA) sent the internet into a meltdown as ‘British Strong Style’ would overcome the odds and manage to claim victory from the jaws of defeat of Jon Moxley in a truly brutal match. Dunne’s stock was the highest it had ever been, and so no one was surprised when he was included as the final man. Three men from three different continents. Only one can leave the victor.

+ + + + + + + + + + +

Prediction Contest: I will be running a prediction contest for this event. The prize will involved a custom piece of GFX Art, as well as deciding two title challengers at the next Pay Per View Event.
