Nebraska hasn't been relevant in awhile now it's kinda sad
Their last great head coach they had was Frank Solich.
His record was 58-19. In 1999, he coached them to a 12-1 record, beat Tennessee in the Fiesta Bowl. Two years later, he coached the team to a 11-2 record, took them to the Rose Bowl (National Championship), losing to perhaps the greatest football team ever, #1 Miami, 37-14. After a 7-7 record in 2002 and a 9-3 record in 2003, after beating Colorado that year, the new athletic director did him dirty and fired him and was replaced by Bo Pelini.
Since they played in the Rose Bowl in the 2001 season and getting rid of Solich two years later, Nebraska has not finished in the Top 10. That's pretty sad indeed.
